With who everyone is playing I think they're going to end up just short. I said this back during the Ranger's series to start the month. That horrible 4 game series against the Rockies keeps popping back up in my mind.

And that's with losing 3 of 4 to the Rockies of all teams. I'm starting to get the sinking feeling that they're going to go on run here and that that series is going to haunt them.

There's still a chance - slight as it is...Padres have their wild card spot and won't win the division - so they may be "resting" starters. Plus, Gallen has a chance to get back to .500 on Friday, which would be a big lift to his FA contract.
