Gallen is seeing the free agency dollar signs. That's good because it means a great compensatory draft pick for the Dbacks. He is definitely having a Jekyll and Hyde (or rather Hyde and Jekyll) type of season.

Texas was rolling coming into this series. Busted up pen... Gurriel gone... An offense with just 4 major-league quality hitters... and somehow, we grab a series win. Now 19 & 13 since the deadline, where they offloaded Kelly, Naylor, Suarez...and are a mere 5 1/2 games out of the final Wild Card. Crazy man...

It is noble of you to post this. Some can’t see the forest for the trees. But it will not deter most of the Torey haters. They post nothing when we win but will attack Torey AFTER THE FACT after every loss. If they can’t see this, there is no hope. @Dback Jon is the exception because he posts when he is against the move when he disagrees with a Torey move. He is adamant about firing Torey but is much more balanced in his posts and gives credit where credit is due. Monday morning quarterbacks add nothing. They just look silly.

And that's with losing 3 of 4 to the Rockies of all teams. I'm starting to get the sinking feeling that they're going to go on run here and that that series is going to haunt them.

As far as @Dback Jon and “much more balanced”, everything is relative. IMO @Chris_Sanders has often criticized Torey, but has also, especially lately, given what I feel are very fair and substantiated opinions that are favorable. I certainly don’t think Torey is anywhere near perfect, but what he is doing with this lineup is impressive. I respect Bochy as a manager and I would love to hear his opinion of the job Torey is doing (after losing the series to the DBacks).
