We are still a couple of months from the start of the 2026 college football season, but that doesn't mean it's too early to think about next year's NFL draft. Opinions will change drastically over the next year as we get more tape and production from the top players in the nation, but at this point, it's not hard to forecast who those top players will be.
And it's not hard to see that a lot of them are in Eugene with the Oregon Ducks.
Each offseason, ESPN's Matt Miller and Jordan Reid put together their list of top prospects at each position, and this year, those lists are littered with Ducks, with a total of six appearing as one of the top players at their respective positions. The names are the usual suspects.
Consensus No. 2 QB.
It's no surprise to see Moore near the top of the list, sitting only behind Texas Longhorns' QB Arch Manning. Depending on how the season plays out between the two, it wouldn't be a shock at all to see either player be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
Consensus No. 1 TE.
A year after sending Kenyon Sadiq to the NFL as the top TE off the board, it appears that the Ducks are in line to do the same thing once again with Jamari Johnson, who may project as an even better player than Sadiq due to his size and catching abilities.
No. 1 C (Miller). No. 2 C (Reid).
Come back for another year may be a game-changer for Poncho, who likely would have been a mid-round pick in the 2026 draft, but is now among the top C prospects in the upcoming draft.
Consensus No. 3 EDGE
A year ago, it would have been surprising to see Tuioti ahead of Matayo Uiagalelei on this list, but after his production last season, it's clear that Teitum is among the top edge rushers in the nation. With him and an expected career year from Matayo, the Ducks clearly have one of the best duos in the nation.
No. 1 DT (Miller). No. 2 DT (Reid).
Again, Washington is among the top prospects in the draft, and could have been a first-round pick had he declared for the 2026 draft. Assuming he has the same production this year, Oregon's DL should be the best in the nation.
No. 1 S (Miller).
Miller has Perich as the top-ranked safety in the draft next year, but surprisingly, Reid doesn't have him ranked in the top 5. We will see what his production is like, but expectations are for Perich to have a great year and follow in the footsteps of Dillon Thieneman.
