The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Hofstra Pride in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.
The Tide will enter the NCAA Tournament as the No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region, as Alabama was extremely impressive throughout the majority of the 2025-26 campaign. Alabama holds an overall record of 23-9 and a 13-5 record in SEC play, as the Tide will look to make yet another deep run throughout the NCAA Tournament, starting this week.
Here are three bold predictions for Alabama’s NCAA Tournament matchup vs. Hofstra.
Philon will undoubtedly continue to shine on the offensive end of the floor against Hofstra on Friday. The talented sophomore has played a pivotal role on a nightly basis for the Tide this season, as Philon recorded 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting despite the loss to Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament.
Alabama will more than likely continue turning to Philon throughout the NCAA Tournament, as the Crimson Tide playmaker could dominate yet again against Hofstra.
Bethea finds himself with a true opportunity to showcase his talent on Friday against Hofstra. The talented guard will more than likely see a major increase in playing time with Aden Holloway out, as Bethea will look to thrive against the Pride in Tampa.
The star sophomore has struggled to make a true impact this season, but Bethea could easily turn things around against Hofstra on Friday afternoon.
Sherrell has had an excellent sophomore campaign for the Tide this season. The talented forward continues to make an impact in different ways, as Sherrell has been nothing short of elite on the glass and on the defensive end of the floor throughout the second half of the year.
The big man will certainly continue playing a crucial role during the postseason, as Sherrell’s performance will play a huge part in the Tide’s success throughout the NCAA Tournament.
