I watched some of this game. What astounds me is the coaching. Against the Suns it appeared they limited Durant handling the ball like a point forward and made him more of a catch and shoot player or coming off screens and getting it to him in rhythm. He can still be deadly in that mode. However, KD reverted to his point forward/iso mode and it killed them with 9 turnovers.

DO NOT let Durant get into Point Foward mode or you are screwed Houston.

Durant has made it no secret, the ISO, slow as a snail, no ball movement, is how he wants to play. He isn't reverting to it, it's his primary option.

"Hoopin"

I guarantee you that Irme isn't calling for Durant to lurk 30 feet from the hoop, dribbling around until a double team comes, which he waits to react to until he's trapped.

Seriously. I was not aware of how sloppy he is with the ball until he got here but it's been a problem throughout his career.

I don't know that there is another high usage player (that isn't a center) that is as sloppy as him with the ball.
I was aware but not from watching him play, it was from listening to Stephen A Smith rant about him following the Nets/Celtics series. He talked about how unplayable Durant has become in clutch moments because he turns the ball over worse than Booker does when the double team comes hard.

#Rockets Alperen Sengun was asked if it was discouraging coming back home down 0-2 to Lakers, “no, it’s a long series, we are confident, we’re gonna go game be game…we have two home games now, we’re going to protect home and go back to L.A. for 5th game.”

“He has a very, very low grade, minor, minor, minor ankle sprain” - JJ Redick gives an update on Jake LaRavia, who tweaked his right ankle in Game 2. An MRI came back clean and he is day-to-day

Tiago Splitter did not outright say Damian Lillard won’t play in the playoffs (his answer to a yes/no question was “probably not”) but reiterated that Lillard has a plan for his recovery that they’re sticking to. Since July the messaging has been that he’s not playing this year.

Joel Embiid is officially listed as DOUBTFUL for Game 3 against the Celtics, a step in the right direction and a telling sign that he could return for Game 4 in Philadelphia.

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (calf) will not play tonight in Game 3 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources tell me.
