McDonough was always drunk on athletic upside; Jackson, Chriss, DA… I think DA was his pick and probably wanted SGA over Bridges.

Sarver and Jones went to overseas to scout Luka without McD who was fired before the season started.

I can't fault the selection of Ayton with the first overall pick. Taking a European (Luka) there seemed a bit risky. A trade down in this situation might have been the best choice but fans would have screamed. All I know, I wanted the Suns to trade for the rights to Shai. Too bad McDonough didn't get his way on this one.

I would say we had a scorer in Book so Ayton at the time was the best choice.

I think in this picture DominAYTON is using his specialty.......being in the wrong position and pretending to be part of the play.

I love how hyped Gillespie gets here. I really hope Phoenix finds a way to keep him around, but worried he might get priced out.

IIRC, the Suns can offer Gillespie up to about $66 million on a multiyear contract. That should be enough to keep him, if they so choose.

Even though Ayton probably has his best game of the year in a W for the Lakers tonight (because that is our lot in sports life), I can only chuckle reading articles like this about how he’s “the x-factor”, if only he’d show up with intensity, night in, night out…

Self awareness. Still escapes Deandre.

Cole Anthony joining the Suns has not been ruled out. They remain in contact although nothing appears to be in the works at the moment.

If you are referring to Cole Anthony, the Suns are probably undecided about how to fill the 15th slot which he now occupies.

They could waive Anthony or keep him. If they waive him they could elevate a two-way player to a standard contract or sign a free agent.

In our battle to prove each other wrong, in this installment, he has been waived.

Also, Jalen Green… WTF? I understood he was a bit of a better stats than actual player on Houston, but he has been flat out horrendous since coming back.
I’m guessing he still really doesn’t trust his body.

Why is he CelebAyton? Has his hands up like he knew it was going in..
I think he was trying what the one guy does where he jumps even if he's way far away to get the shooter to miss the shot.

IIRC, it was .9 seconds, but Reaves indeed, was wide open.
No use worrying he was wide open. If he had hit the shot, it would have been OT not a loss. who say s we wouldn't have still won?

Gambo says the Suns will eventually make Bouyea the fifteenth player, and then intend to use his two way on another player.

He was stoned and forgot what team he's on. Cut him some slack.

I'm curious what his go to strain is. His inability to care should be studied.
