McShays’s pre-bowl top-10 prospects:
.
1. Fernando Mendoza, QB Indiana
2. Arvell Reese, LB Ohio St
3. Dante Moore, QB Oregon (if he declares)
4. Jeremiyah Love, RB Notre Dame
5. Caleb Downs, S Ohio St
6. Carnell Tate, WR Ohio St
7. Makai Lemon, WR USC
8. Jordyn Tyson, WR Arizona St
9. Keldric Faulk, EDGE Auburn
10. Francis Mauigoa, OT Miami
Is downs a playmaker (aka Ed Reed)? If so, as much as I’d hate taking a safety that high, I’d do it if Mendoza and Reese are gone. I’d consider love.

This place is going to crazy when Monti selects Caleb Downs in round 1. Probably the best defensive player in the draft at a position of need and our HC is a defensive guy. I'm not advocating it, but I think it's a real possibility. Plus, he's from OSU and Monti loves OSU guys.
He's going to be a great player, which is what you want from top 10 pick, but a safety is not going to sit well.
Who does he remind you of most?

Posting in multiple threads where it's apropos....

The Athletic's Nick Baumgartner posted this mock draft today:

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

It’s time for Tom Brady and company to rip the cord on a quarterback. So long as he declares, Moore would be an exciting choice. The 20-year-old QB is light on experience, but his blend of football IQ, athletic instinct, poise and arm talent is beyond his years. He has the right mindset for a challenge like this and offers a skill set worth investing in.

2. New York Jets: Arvell Reese, edge, Ohio State

The most talented defender and arguably the most talented football player in the class, period, Reese has the potential to be a total game wrecker on the edge. He also has enough versatility to move around the front seven. He’s a prospect with an elite-level ceiling.

3. Arizona Cardinals: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

The Cardinals could have major leadership questions heading into next season, possibly including at quarterback with the future of the Kyler Murray era in doubt. Now that Arizona is starting over with a new coaching regime, it might be the perfect time to start over under center, too.
After that, it goes like this (highlighting picks / names relevant to the Cards in bold):
4. Tennessee Titans: Keldric Faulk, edge, Auburn
5. New York Giants: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
6. Cleveland Browns: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
7. Washington Commanders: David Bailey, edge, Texas Tech
8. New Orleans Saints: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
9. Kansas City Chiefs: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
10. Cincinnati Bengals: Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
11. Miami Dolphins: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
12. Dallas Cowboys: Rueben Bain Jr., edge, Miami
13. Los Angeles Rams (from ATL): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
...
24. Buffalo Bills: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington <- David Boston's son!
...
28. Cleveland Browns (from JAX): Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
