You expect him to kiss ass about a franchise that’s been awful for a while?

No, I expect him to not literally crap on everything. The dude is a massive hater and bitter AF. He's the new Mike Jurecki.

He's not a reporter anymore. He just uses is reach from formerly covering the Cards to crap on literally everything. Some of his posts are hilarious. When JB put up 400+ yards and 90% completion rate at 8 yards a clip he was trying to spin it.

He's a huge K1 nut too. Thinks he can do no wrong.

I'm perfectly fine with balanced and reasonable coverage, including the bad, but that isn't what Odegard does.

We’re back at Britcard Defending an Organization About to go 3-14 in Year 3 of Rebuild Season already? Didn’t notice the time change.

I'm not defending an organisation. I'm just being factual.

If you all want to be "Everything sucks, everyone sucks, fire everyone" then fine, but the facts are there isn't a GM in the league that hasn't traded down and whiffed.

Cool. How many GMs in the league started 15-33 and kept their job for a fourth season?

How many were lumbered with an ass QB on a fat contract with an ACL tear?

Look, I don't care about Gannon, any of the staff, Budda Baker or practically any other player on the team outside Mike, Marv, Trey, Paris, Nolen, Johnson, WIlliams and DTD (who I think will be a good player). There are probably a few more but you get the gist.

Fire them all. Fire Monti for all I care. IDGAF.

Burn it all and get a whole new bunch of crap in that we can write all the same things about but just change the names.

But, Monti is the least of the problems. He's had some good draft picks and some whiffs. He's had some good FA signings and some whiffs. He's not the problem, there are worst GMs. But whatever.

As always, and I'll say it again. The QB is everything. The QB makes "good" HCs and "good" GMs and more often or not whether they are bad or good comes down to who they have at QB.

You don't see many GM's with good QB's get fired.

That's not real comforting when you look at the QBs Monti has brought in. Clayton Tune, Josh Dobbs, Desmond Ridder, Jacoby Brissett and Kedon Slovis (I know I am forgetting some. But how good were they when they are less memorable than Kedon Slovis?). Not good. I have no confidence in his ability to evaluate QBs because that is a dismal record.

When you say brought in you mean to back up Kyler?

Brissett is arguably one of the best backups in the league. The only others were Dobbs, when it became apparent that Colt McCoy was cooked in camp, in what was already a dead season and trying to turn Tune into an NFL QB. Everyone else was 3rd string or PS and QB depth is always ass.

Yeah, Monti rode with Kyler for three years. But, not his fault, right? And, none of the other crud QBs on our roster the last three years can be blamed on him either. Not his fault either.
