He was actually a FA
I'm not sure I follow. We were comparing an 11 year career of Ronald McKinnon with our 4th round pick. Who was the FA, and more importantly, why does that matter?

My concerns with Simon are:
He’s not all that big or fast.
He couldn’t get on the field for 4 years.
He was not a focal point of the other team because of all the DL talent around him. Which allowed him to roam free.

My likes about him.
He’s a great guy and leader and a hard worker. If he’s successful, he’ll be a team captain.
Had a very good year.
James Lauranaitis was promoted to LB coach this past year and I think they have similar profiles(even though James was much more productive)so maybe the light from coaching went on and he’ll continue to improve.

From a Cards perspective, I think ceiling is Ronald McKinnon. Floor is Buster Davis.

Telling of what?
Couple of things…

Telling that the league doesn’t believe he is as good as many on this board.

Telling that perhaps White is out-marketing himself

Telling that you were completely in the wrong when you decided to ridicule and be condescending towards posters saying White wasn’t that good.

Telling that run stuffing ILB are run of the mill.

It's probably about the cost

I doubt he's hanging on to his price target this late in the game.
@Chris_Sanders I think Britcard is right at this point. He probably wanted way more than any team wanted him for and he's probably not viewed as a great starter either.

Plenty of teams still have money right now and if they thought he was worth it, they would sign him.

Too early for White to get nervous. As camps open for spring practice, injuries will follow.
