the flight plan trailer made it seem like he was the target starting at #19 and they were looking to trade up for him
Monti Said 6 players would have to come off the board which would mean that was said after Fautanu was selected by the Steelers with pick #20 overall.

To me that confirms that the Cardinals were not very interested in taking a CB with the two first round picks.

Also it confirms that they almost used their 4th rounder to move up to #24 to select Robinson.

Dallas traded #29 and #73 to get to #24 (with DETs 7th rounder included)

sounds like Monti offered #104 but it wasnt enough

Just a garbage pick.
Slight disagreement. He will stick on a roster ala Zaven Collins as long as he is working to improve. If you amended to "poor use of a first round pick" I would agree. K9 has pointed out that project 1st round picks that turn into average players gets you fired and I agree with that. On the other hand, 1st round picks between 25-32 are mostly 2nd round level guys.

Dude is really bad.

Only somewhat positive thing I can say about him is that I rarely see him get pushed back due to his strength. However, dude just latches on any OL blocking him.
His hands are bad, his balance looks bad, and his vision seems questionable. Effort and strength are there IMO. Lots of work to do. Hopefully as he moves outside he can have more success.

I still think he is playing cautious due to that injury from last year. He seems like a great young man. Intelligent, hard working, but maybe a little too sensitive and soft. I recall a drill from this past offseason when the defensive linemen were working on disengaging from the blocker and then hitting the tackling dummy. Nolan, Campbell, Tomlinson, Stills, Collier were just destroying the tackling dummy. Robinson had to redo the drill a couple of times because he was kind of side swiping the dummy instead of obliterating it like those other guys.

And immediately becoming mediocre again lol

But they're not they have statistically the best defense in the NFL. If they get their WR room healthy and build their OL they're probably going to be really good pretty soon. But it sucked that when we needed them to be terrible they were good.

I did see someone on twitter post some clips of DRob vs Dallas and there is a little improvement to be seen. Again, far from where he needs to be, but some better hand usage and disengagement. I will try to post it up here when I can.
He has seemed better the last couple of games and actually shed some blocks. He is still about a step away from making plays like TFL or sacks.

I mean they are pretty mid (3-5 record). I agree they have a great D, but Stroud came crashing down to earth after his incredible rookie season, I had a feeling he wouldn’t sustain it.

It also seemed unlikely Jadon Daniels could keep his pace up after his ridiculous rookie season…He came crashing down to earth as well before his unfortunate injury. Crazy how these rookie qbs can hit the scene and look unstoppable their first season before the league catches up.
