Are you at BirdGangs house??? LOL
But you are offering a solution.
You guys are arguing history at this point. Love has an ankle injury...end of story, doesn't matter anymore why.
As far as the other two rookies being out for the year, so many on this board stand by the fact that rookies don't really start to contribute until the second year or even year three. So, it's all good. Let's focus on Dallas ;)
RB's are traditionally the rookies that contribute the fastest... and in truth, I aint really sweating Love.... I watched the game, saw the injury..saw him walking afterwards... while a high ankle sprain can nag...IMO the kid is fine and coach Flower is using this as an excuse to keep him off the field and get other guys opportunities.
the kid has been chomping at the bit since he walked in the building. this is a built in reason to end all debates about whether or not he can play.
Your a pro now, we need to be careful...make sure you are available to do your job when it counts... effectively shuts down a player who is hard arguing he can go.
...dallas.... fudge dallas.... sadly, we are due a loss... even in pre season it will sukk ballz if it is against dallas... but you know,..onward and upwards

Don’t play preseason, get injured in regular season.. he needed to play in preseason!
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard someone say this about an injured player. This seems lik the ultimate straw man.
Studies have shown that players who don't play in the preseason are more likely to suffer soft tissue injuries in the first four weeks of the regular season. LaFleur's brother spoke about this last year. He may have been referring to this NIH study comparing the COVID-impacted 2020 season to others (though that would've measured the impact of missing an entire preseason) or he and other NFL coaches may have access to additional data gathered by the league.

In fantasy football discussions going back decades, it was considered common knowledge - though based on anecdotal evidence - that players who held out in the preseason had a higher risk of injury and lower expected performance. The Athletic wrote about this last year. But again, that concerned players who missed the entire preseason.

There may not be any publicly available data regarding injury risk for players who play more or less during the preseason, but the NFL does collect and analyze this kind of data and make the results available to team staff.

The study linked to showed fewer injuries through four weeks with no preseason vs with preseason games.

I am assuming Bisonti is a typo. Chase Bisontis was hurt in the Raiders game and placed on IR Saturday. Would probably have been on IR much sooner if it happened against Carolina.

Not trying to be a jerk. Just saying it can't be Coach MLF not learning the lesson with Love when that injury happened first.
Yup. You’re right. Brain totally malfunctioning there. Weird.

14 touches in the first half wasn’t high? Sorry… this is just your pathological inability to ever admit you’re wrong again, much like you STILL equivocating about Robinson even though he is complete dogsnot and a net negative on the field because you staked a really stupid opinion about him.
lol…how am I still equivocating about Robinson?

Bad luck he got hurt but on the preseason touches stuff. The RB drafted that high most recently was Bijan Robinson, the most touches he had as a rookie in the preseason in a game was...5. Looks like that was literally the only pre season game he ever played in.

Saquon, also 5 in one game, 9 in his entire career.

Gibbs 8 as a rookie 7 runs 1 catch.

So 14 in one half is absolutely an extreme outlier.

The NIH study?? You need to re-read. It's unequivocal:
The 2020-2021 NFL season, with an absent preseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was characterized by a significantly higher incidence of hamstring, groin, calf, quadriceps, and thigh injuries compared to the 2018-2019 regular NFL season. Although we are unable to infer causality, we suspect that an increase in the acute/chronic workload ratio of the NFL athletes led to this increase in injury incidence.

All the young, smart, successful coaches in the league their don't play their starters in a preseason game for more than a drive; most don't play them at all.

So while there's no reason to say you shouldnt have been walking, its an extremely disappointing decision by our headcoach to play Love that much. There was no rhyme or reason for it, an unforced error.

Giving that many snaps to a star RB in preseason? I dont think a single coach under the age of 65 would do that.
