Darn !! Beaten out by the Felix twins - again !!
Cosmo is pricey but if you like to watch / meet beautiful women this is the place, especially the Chandelier bar. Place is really designed to appeal to women
Aria is the exact opposite. It's leather and wood everywhere. Very upscale but more like a rich bachelor pad rather than sex in the city
I have only stayed at the Aria and if you can afford a sky suite it's well worth it
Ironically one of my vendors just booked dinner at STK at the Cosmo for us during next months trade show
Agreed with this. Cosmo is going to be very expensive. If you want to be center Strip for all of the action, everything is going on right at the LINQ, which has been renovated and has cool stuff. Right across the street is the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and you're next to Bally's, and Flamingo as other options that are kinda budgety right in that area. Not "cheap," but right in the center of everything.
I used to be in corporate marketing for these places, more than happy to add more advice if you're thinking luxury, budget, or in the middle.
NAB is that week so the rates are off the absolute chain. NAB Is already one of the biggest shows in Vegas
That is how I have a free room through my buddy who produces stuff like South by Southwest and some TV shows
Thanks Solar! I am thinking in the middl-slight upper middle. I am not a huge gambler but really want to soak up the draft and atmosphere.
I would highly recommend NY NY. It's my favorite mid tier casino by far
Man I am starting to get excited for this trip! So many choices!
Honestly a meet up at Nine Fine Irishmen the night before the draft would be awesome
My wife and I just stayed there a couple of weeks ago and the Cosmo was beautiful. I looked at staying there for the draft but it was crazy expensive because of the draft ($650 a night).
I ended up booking the Westin Lake Las Vegas because I get a special discount there through my work ($120 a night):
It's closer to the Hoover Dam than the Strip, but since my son is only 13 it's not like I'll be hanging out on The Strip all night long. So I don't mind being off the strip and saving a ton of money.
I booked my flight. Coming in to Vegas Thursday morning. Staying at Aria. Would love to meet up!
Counting the weeks. Ready for crab legs, cigars, and a wide receiver off the board in the first two rounds
Oh crap a Meetup I can actually attend without leaving town lol.
