I know it's not the same thing but Joel Emiid reportedly played with a partially tore meniscus.

Can a player play with a partially tore ACL? I doubt it but I'm not a medical professional.

A smart team doesn’t throw money at a guy who can’t stay healthy. It’s been two years since he’s really played and even then he only showed glimpses.

A smart team doesn’t throw money at a guy who can’t stay healthy. It’s been two years since he’s really played and even then he only showed glimpses.

I think they've all been from the same ankle problem. If that's the case, and if it looks like the surgery really solved the issue this time, he'd be a great pickup on a low money deal. But I suspect someone else will throw more money at him then we should be willing to risk.

Yeah my thought too. Are there just no other American big men anymore? I mean look at all nba teams: jokic, giannis, embiid, Gobert - all foreigners. Look at others - valancius, nurkic, porzingas, capela, vucevic are all foreign. I guess there’s wood and KAT at center. Considering power forwards there’s siakam, sabonis who are foreign. Randle, Collins, Tobias Harris, AD, are american. Too early for Zion?
