Today’s morning skate at Pepsi Center was an optional so there were no line rushes. Coach Rick Tocchet said Lawson Crouse would be a game-time decision.
I did run in to former Coyote and always quotable Kevin Connauton, now with the Avs. More on that later.

Random thoughts...wishing kevin Connaughton the best....Domi impressive in the faceoff circle the last couple of games...super impressed with Kessel, because of the # of times traded, never knew if he was as good as his stats or if he was a product of playing with so many skilled players......if Christian Fischer can continue to play with an edge he's valuable, if not .....Conor Garland [emoji2937]...Welcome back Pro Raanta

Nik Hjalmarsson was on crutches as he left Pepsi Center. He hopped into a private car. It’s pretty clear he is not traveling with the team to Winnipeg.

Today is an off day for the Coyotes in Winnipeg. No word yet on the extent of Nik Hjalmarsson’s injury, but the plan is to recall a defenseman (not sure which one yet) on Monday.
