Just curious. I wonder where the Cardinals would be drafting if they had lost today and finished at 7-9 ? There were seven teams at 7-9.

If the Cardinal could draft RB Ryan Torain of ASU on the first day of the Draft I would be thrilled.

The first day of the draft this year will only be 2 rounds. They are triing to make it more viewer friendly. If we could nab Torain in the 4th round i would be ecstatic.

Is this ASU homerism going on? The guys stats seem not all that impressive and only has a two year track record according to ESPN.

Probably a little, but in watching this kid run.....you can tell he has the tools to be something special. A great combination of size, power and speed. I think ESPN has him ranked as like the 7th or 8th best RB in the draft (which should work out to 3-4th round). I am not sure he is the perfect compliment to Edge, but I think he has a chance to be a very successful RB in the NFL if he continues to work and improve...he is still raw, but the talent is there for sure.

Edit: After looking at it now, ESPN has dropped him to 14th best because of his injury this year.

If the Cards had the testicles, Dolphins #1 overall is available. Won't take 2 #1s. A #1 and #2 will do it for Parcells. Then The Cards could grab one of the following

DT Glen Dorsey
RB McFadden
DE Chris Long
LT Jake Long
QB Matt Ryan

etc.

Just some food for thought. Cards need a Home Run pick and giving up the #1 and #2 ain't a big deal. Do we really want to see McFadden in Cowboy gear?

I'd be very pleased with Stewart or Rice. There are four backs that I'd love to see in Cardinal red if they're available (possibly more, this is off the top of my head). They are McFadden, Stewart, Rice and Steve Slaton. Any of those would be fine. If not, I want to go defense first.

Do you know that Steve Slaton is a little guy?

5'10" 185 pounds.

Why when you can get Jon Stewart cheaper?

I know I haven't followed college football a ton this year, but who?

No offense. Jon Stewart could be a nice prospect for all I care. He is nowhere near as talented as McFadden, though. I wasn't sold on Bush coming out, or Tomlinson, or even necessarily on AP. Seeing McFadden, though, I am almost 100 percent certain that, barring injury, he will be a HOF back.

Now, I realizing the chances of getting him at all are less than one percent, and that we will never try to move up to get him. I know we won't get McFadden, so I'm not going to cry when we don't move up. Still, I'd love to do it.

I'm aware, but he's a heck of a runner. The Falcons made it work with Warrick Dunn, so we could do it here. But Slaton is behind the other three, for sure.

As I was typing my last post, he just broke off a nice run. He's Oregon's running back and has been a big key.
