I am not buying the "financial flexibility" bonus of this trade. I have every expectation that he's going to get an ugly extension.

Something like 3 years 100 million, maybe a bit north of that.
Please, no. Right now my offer would be 3 years/75 mil. and I am generous.
You want more? Feel free to get it elsewhere.

I like a lot of the younger fill ins. Hanging on to a an entire cast of 50-60 year olds in media is a mistake

I can't listen to it.

I get most of my information from Gambo and Kellan Olson tweets plus other trusted sources.

The criminal justice system has already addressed the criminal issue with Miles Bridges.

Who are we to keep punishing him?
I don't choose to cheer for him, is that really punishing him though? Personally I wouldn't bring in a player like Miles unless there were extenuating circumstances that justified or at least explained his behavior regardless of his status with the legal system. And since I wouldn't befriend someone simply because the legal system was through with them, I'm not interested in become a fan of Miles or supporting a franchise that would look past his history without a good explanation.

I've been a huge sports fan my entire life. I started losing interest in baseball during the 90's with their work stoppages and constant strike threats and my "fandom" never recovered. Now I just follow them through box scores. My love for football took a huge dive when Junior Seau drove home the CTE threat and it's never coming back. I was hoping to hold onto basketball despite not liking so much of the modern game but this move just takes the challenge to a new level. I'm not "totally out" but I'm just barely in.

I get why you feel this way. He brutally beat her. BRUTALLY. So... that's like saying...you can't judge who he is as a person because he went through a system that gave him preferential treatment as an athlete? A system that continued to award him on the biggest stage despite his sheer brutally to someone weaker?

I have two daughters. If he did that to either of them? I am a father of two girls so that's who I am to punish this move. My excitement for this team took a serious blow today.

We all choose who we cheer for. I'm kind of neutral on the trade, neither pro nor against. IMO, the contract situation was a huge factor in the trade.

Generally to get probation, there are extenuating circumstances. However, I do not know all the details in this case. I realize people can change or not.

Nevertheless, most assuredly there are worse people walking the street. And probably some people we know and like who have paid their price to society without us even knowing.

you should be on the Suns marketing team:

Your PHOENIX SUNS 2026-27
New Season, New Culture, New BRIDGES On The Court
...because, hey, there are worse people walking the street!

and why not? That angle kinda worked in the last election

So are you going to not watch the Suns because Bridges is on the team?

Im going to watch a lot less and won't consider buying a ticket while he's here. It's not virtue signaling, it's choosing what my money supports. I didn't make a stink about what I was going to do, you asked. You are asking people and then claiming it's insignificant by saying it's just virtue signaling when you're the one seeking the info. I don't understand how you square supporting someone who beats their wife and kids but that's your call and you don't need to explain to me why or how, it's telling enough that you are judging

There’s a difference between punishing him and liking him enough to root for him. Everyone has a right to make their own choices. I am still thinking about this one.

We really don’t KNOW any of these guys and what they are really like in their private lives. I am not defending him. He could still be a horrible dude, or maybe he has turned it around. I don’t know. All I know is what he plead no contest to doing. Haven’t seen the pics. Not sure I want to. I will take you alls word that it’s bad.

Wow. So many of us who have been on this board since nearly the beginning are on the edge of jumping ship. Someone in the Suns front office should read this.

It’s TMZ so,

He beat her senseless, trashed her car with the kids watching...

She might be a total nut, but nothing justifies your kid's mother bloody while the kids look on.

She's off the handle... you're twice her size... call the cops... hold her down... maybe don't repeatedly punch and choke her.

A while later... Oh... you've got a custody argument with her... call the lawyer? Call the cops? Nah... trash her car instead.

This is public record stuff.

I don't care how insane she is... one, make better choices, two, you can't just beat the crap out of your problems.

The Suns are like a quarterback scrambling in the pocket in the face of a pass rush.

They are trying to avoid tacklers (salary and tax) while trying to make a big pass play downfield by connecting with a tightly covered wide receiver.

Lots of fancy footwork going on. I enjoy watching all the maneuvers.
This is about a perfect analogy if I ever seen one. Well stated.

I am with you on Junior. I still have one of his jerseys. Now some of the guys are wearing the big helmets to try and prevent CTE. There were so many old timers I knew that kept telling me they played with leather helmets, and that metal helmets made for weapons. There needs to be something done for CTE. Just in general guys are HUGE, strong, and faster than ever, but joints haven't evolved as fast. There's that issue, too.

It was bad threw a billards ball at the car with the kids in it. Dude will pay the price the rest of his life. Every time he sees his kids when he comes here and faces the music. Hell he was going to sign a two hundred million dollar extension when he F up. Charlotte got a deal on him. He is paying the price

From a purely basketball standpoint, a change of scenery may do wonders for Bridges. For 3 seasons he averaged 20+ppg, 7 boards and nearly 4 assists.

His off the court madness makes him individually impossible to root for. Players should be banned from the league if convicted of a felony.

Another positive: our core/rotation players got bigger. Got rid of two slow guards for a bigger hopefully faster and more athletic guy. We need to fill in with 3pt shooters. Do we have enough with Booker, Gillespie, Brooks, Fleming?

I mean I understand signing one more shooter, but will they really get playing time? If it's Collin Sexton sure, because he has a complete game, but someone who is just a 3 point shooter is only going to come into the game for must 3 situations.

What we need is for Booker, Green, Brooks, and Bridges to up their percentages.

Not arguing any of this. Just reposting pertinent info.

The thing I find odd is that she did all this AFTER he beat her. You would think she would want to be as far away from him as possible. I assume there is or was a civil suit (her against him of course). I guess this is her form of revenge or justice. Hopefully all of this is over and it does not spill over here.
