I'm a newbie but can someone finally say it?

If you don't like the Arizona Cardinals then find another team.

Oaken I agree with just about everything. And I don't understand why a lot of people hate Beck. It's laughable especially when they talk about his shoulder injury. Remember when Warner was supposed to be washed up because of a thumb?

Make me laugh some more
Let me put it this way. You and I are regular fans that love watching the cards.
Then there are fans that are...let's say, like stockbrokers. They're fixated on whether the price of pork bellies will go up or down depending on the market. Pork bellies being the players on the roster and the market being the schedule. See, simple...LOL

I guess the plan is to out score everyone since our defense was pretty much ignored and the off season additions were not exactly difference makers. We have a plethora of run stuffing Dlinemen. Rallis is still our DC. Still don't know how they are going to generate sacks. I was hoping we would address pass rushing at least to some extent in the draft. We did draft one undersized DT.
I’m content to try and outscore( or at least keep up) with our opponents.
ML will surprise teams early until the film catches up.
Not 1, 2 or even 3 additional draft picks was going to turn this defense into a juggernaut good enough to stop the 3 teams in our division.

In reality, I mostly agree with you. But film works both ways and I'm hoping MLF has a few tricks up his sleeve and with what I think will be a much better running game to complement our receivers I'm looking forward to this upcoming season. Just the fact that there's no chance we can be any worse than last year brings optimism.

Yea because you’re a newbie imma let it slide. But no questioning of fandom. Doing so will generally result in a break from the site. Even the complete negative nellys here are fans. Or they wouldn’t be here wasting time debating about this mess of a franchise. They’ve earned the right to be negative sadly.
I stand corrected

One day I will stop reading ML as “Matt Leinart,” but today is not that day.

The #AZCardinals' 2026 draft received a B grade from @MelKiperESPN "The Cards didn't make a single defensive pick until Kaleb Proctor at No. 104, and they didn't do much there in free agency, either. That kept Arizona in "B" territory."
That’s fair, but I also think that Robinson is going to be moved to DE this year where he excelled in college and I’m kinda excited to see what a dline of Robinson, Proctor, Nolan, and Sweat can do.

One thing I have hope for with MLF is that he will stop the trend of putting players out of position.

Shane, I don’t get the rule. Is he questioning the fandom?

It’s clear that everybody on this board likes/loves the Cardinals. We’ve all been on here for a very Very long time spending countless hours debating the team and its moves etc…. Some are just incessantly negative and who can blame them. If you’re questioning, if they’re an actual fan and telling them they should leave then yeah you are questioning their fandom. You can hate management and still love the team and be a fan.

You can’t say this here, actually.
Correct. You cannot question someone's fandom and ask them to support another team. Please do not do this...

It's hard to look at Love's highlights when almost all of them he's not touched until 5 or 6 yards down the field. Will the Cards set him up that wide open with their blocks? No doubt he's got freakish skills. Bisontis was my favorite pick. Hoping he will develop into a very solid guard for Cards. A lot of the rest of the guys are developmental. Love and Bisontis should start. The rest, I am not that sure of.

Call me a stockbroker. Every time I go to Costco I look at pork belly prices. My pork belly burnt ends are amazing!

You can see the speed that he has. He pulls away from defenders that have the angle on him with his speed.

Oh I get that. He needs to get open to use that speed. In college he was getting amazing blocking. I'm not saying he doesn't have skills. He has to start with his skills. Just questioning wether he's going to get the blocking he's used to. Bisontis has to start, too.

He also forced over 50 missed tackles in his career. He isn't just a product of his offensive line.

The #AZCardinals' 2026 draft received a B grade from @MelKiperESPN "The Cards didn't make a single defensive pick until Kaleb Proctor at No. 104, and they didn't do much there in free agency, either. That kept Arizona in "B" territory."
Mel Kiper apparently missed the previous drafts with Monti making plenty of D selections. A lot of those players---who are still on the roster---went down with injuries last year. They are expected to be back and healthy enough to contribute in the role that they were drafted. There was no 'need' in this draft to go after a lot of D guys---we drafted for those needs in the previous MO drafts.

This is another example of a talking head who is not deep into a team yet feels entitled to pronounce judgment on what is/is not happening with the team. Cards are not a highly-visible team as a result of their poor record, small fan base, and not getting much national broadcast attention. But Kiper still feels he has the 'right' to give us a grade---even as he shows he doesn't know much about the current roster construction.

On a separate thread, 'Who are those guys?' I looked at the roster building and how Monti did not do the 'normal' and expected roster turnover to welcome a new coaching staff. ML is getting the Steve Wilks treatment with a GM/Owner making the moves including picks, QB selection, coaching staff preference, etc. One day ML will wake up to that simple fact that he is a HC in title only---probably when his brother tells him what a real HC does.

Actually, he can do that.

Of course, he will pay the price for the honesty and the audacity to say it. The emotionally wounded who gather here under the guise of discussing a failed football team will react against him for being so direct. It comes too close to exposing the deeper personality turmoil just below the surface. You may not be able to complain about all the personal disappointments and failures in your life and having to live in a van down by the river, but at least here you can complain about a football team. I'm not a loser, but those guys wearing Cardnial Red sure are.

He'll get the Randall Patrick McMurphy lobotomy courtesy of the many Nurse Ratcheds here.

At the least, he will be ignored and no one will react to what he has to say.

We got some willing blockers already on the roster. Look for TB, TR and MW throwing downfield blocks (MHJ? not so much). We got some OL guys who love to get to the second level and take out their frustration on LBers and CB. Frojholdt (sp?) loves to hunt down LBers. We also got a RB2 from Atlanta who knows how to throw blocks for a RB1. Our new 2nd round pick has a nasty streak and will headhunt those in the secondary. Even JB will throw a block to free the RB.
