Jalen is the fastest, most agile player on the team. He's got the most moves, and, at 24, he's got the most upside, IF, he can control his finishes and become more consistent. Yet to be seen if he can acquire the basketball iq and defense to go with it, which is what he would need to be a next level player.

if Green and Book are pushing over 50 shots together as primarily offensive weapons, however, the Suns are going nowhere in the playoffs -- where defenses have time to develop strategies to contain containable shooters.

our team defense advantage, with the right players on the floor, is stronger than our Booker/Green offensive weapon to close out games, especially if they're playing hero ball.

and that's exactly what happened the Raptors game after that post. Booker and Green's offense did not compensate for our lapse in team defense in the clutch and we lost.

Khaman Maluach (#10), Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green could make the big trade special.

We've really only had 1 on the court at a time and they've been more conducive to winning basketball than Durant had been here at any point. Who would have thought.

Maluach is coming around. He's no longer a negative but not positively producing yet. Essentially just a guy as a backup big. He has the physical potential to be an all time Suns Center though, although that bar isn't very high.

Yeah, Maluach is showing some flashes of his NBA ability at age 19. This is all I have ever asked or wanted.

The Suns will need their rookies to contribute, especially Maluach and Fleming, both now and in the future.

Down the road, hard to project when, they both should become starters. Maybe Fleming can reach that goal next season.

Fleming looks good. I've got blinders on for Maluach to a degree as he's a project but you can't teach his size, athleticism, or motor. He needs the game to slow down some, and it has. He's getting there.

Back to Jalen. His potential is insane. He makes some bad decisions but now that he's healthy and able to attack the basket and shoot from deep keeps defenders guessing. We haven't had an athlete like him in decades. I'd say he's better than Bledsoe or Gerald Green, with those 2 being big time athletes from a decade back. Jalen is almost a blend of the two. He has created a new timeline here with guys like Maluach, Fleming, Oso, Collin, maybe Dunn and Goodwin. He'll frustrate occasionally but the kid seems willing to learn. Hopefully playing with Book helps him become a better playmaker.

The Suns had to hit home runs with their young players and it's looking good. Jalen Green can be much better than Bledsoe or Green. He has Kevin Johnson type talent although I'm not comparing their games.

If only Phoenix had the foresight to sign Precious Achiuwa this season when he was available.

Or were we missing Brooks and Mark Williams for the D?

getting Brooks back will definitely move the needle on D, but the best clutch combo, on both sides of the court, that includes Brooks, Allen and Gillespi can't happen with Booker and Green.
