In addition to scoring, Green also gets to the line at a good clip. Not counting his rookie season and the couple games he played this season he averages 4.8 FTA per game. Brooks with 3.6 FTA is currently second on the team behind Booker.

Booker is currently fifth in the league with 8.2. If Green were to average 4.8 FTA, he'd be ranked 30th behind Steph Curry at 5.1.

Nice sequence in the 3rd by Jalen. That stepback 3 was nasty.

This is why I love Jalen. His energy and enthusiasm from the bench is so sincere that he's become a dude I'll root for regardless of the health hurdles.

It's frustrating the meager glimpses we have seen of his game on the court and how it melds into what were are trying to do on offense almost perfectly. I just hope we can get him back 100% for the stretch run after the All Star break, and he stays healthy.

Apparently, there is a big mental aspect to these hamstring issues. The mind remains guarded about not wanting to reinjure it.

I heard them talking about this on the radio. They were saying he is "cleared" but he doesn't trust it. That can also lead to favoring it and leading to other injuries. This is not good IMO. I liken it to Football players coming back from a knee. We have seen even though completely healthy, it sometimes takes them an entire year to trust it again.

I get it. I had a 90 degree separation of the ankle playing in a tournament. It took me about 2 years to get back on the court. I didn't trust it one bit and was worried about it not holding up.

It's a real thing, but he's being paid 30+mil to get over it. There is certainly a grace period, but at some point, it could cause resentment with his teammates.

He has to know, the only way to get through it is to get out there and play.

Supposed to return tonight vs Cleveland. We'll need him. Definitely thought it was more of a precautionary thing this go around. Glad that wasn't just me coping.

Ultimately this is the case but that mental aspect some guys can’t get over easily. Hopefully, he just goes.

True but he's already had a bunch of "real" setbacks with this injury, I can't fault him for having doubts at this stage. And one wrong decision could put his future in jeopardy so getting it right is more important than a few wins would be IMO.

This is also his first serious injury as a pro. This may seem like a Beal situation but when you look into it more there's quite a few different variables to consider.

At this point, I'm not sure how much of it is Green himself and how much is the Suns training staff. The Suns seem to have a history of guys going out with minor to not so minor injuries and then taking forever to get back on the court consistently. Green is far from the only example.
