No offense, by whom?
To follow up, the Pittsburgh 93.7 the Fan morning crew talked extensively about him. While discussing if the injury was a good thing for his draft status or not, they talked about he was an obvious top 10 pick in last year's draft, if not the consensus #1, had he left school.

From some buzz, he might go high; they said (although they didn't site any sources) he may go above Simpson.

Yeah, just draft Sonny Styles.

Would you draft Urlacher or Keuchly 3rd? I think so.

I’m good if the Cardinals pass on him.

It's gonna be David Bailey at #3, if the Jets don't take him at 2. If Bailey's off the board, I think it will be Reese.

I think thats right

Bailey feels like he has a high floor: at worst, the Cards get 8 -9 sack a year guy

Reese feels like the floor is lower: at worst, a league average OLB who does his job but makes no splash plays

This is more than fair. On the flip side, Allen didn't have the QB killer Franklin crushing his talent and telling him not to go to the Manning camp.
Wow, WTH? Why would a coach not want one of his payers to work on his game in the offseason?

I'm not sure. My theory is that Franklin wanted all the control and didn't want Allar (or any QB, for that matter) to start getting ideas beyond the team's run-oriented approach. But that's just a theory.

You're asking for a reference from, what, two years ago? I don't know. I remember the chatter. Allar could have been a 1st round pick but he chose to return to school. An awful idea, as it happened.
You may have to register, that parts free. They have the 2025 movks save. Cam Ward dominated. Looked at a bunch; couldn’t find your guy. Some let you go back to older dates. Great resource. Below is one, you can look at dozens.

You're missing a big point. He's not going to be on any mocks as he returned to school.

This draft is great if you want a safety, linebacker or Tight end and meh if you want a premium position.

We could pick 20 this year and get a player as good as at 3. Terrible year to be drafting high.

Disagree. It’s a good WR class. A good EDGE class. A really good ILB and S class. Ok on the OL. TE is good.

What do you think you are getting at 20 that is less risky than at 3?

I think the concerns about Reese just being another position less player like Simmons are not valid. I know it’s a big projection, but I see more of a Jamie Collins (low end) and Micah Parsons (high end) with Reese. I am a huge Illinois fan, and Illinois had a really good team this year. Reese just destroyed the game for the Illini. He blitzed from a traditional linebacker position and he rushed as an edge and wrecked havoc from both positions. He also wrecked the run game.

Yeah…I see no issue with Bailey, Reese or Mauigoa at 3. Remember Wirfs went in the teens because he was a RT and projected better at OG.
