Signing Willis to a contract over 15 mil would be a total LOssenfort move.

Agree. I can see it happening though. Really all depends on how rational Mike B is being.

If he's like "We expect to challenge for the playoffs / not finish last in the division / get 8 wins next year" mode then the only real option is to swing for the fences on Willis. Personally I think we can do that with JB also with some OL and defense upgrades, but if Monti feels under pressure (which he should) and if the feedback from Green Bay is Willis is legit, then it could be a desperation move.

Yes but it doesn’t discourage future thoughtless reposting the way snark can.
Why care enough to try to dissuade it? If you know it’s meaningless, dismiss it as such. It’s just something else to talk about. I don’t think anyone here is putting any stock in that quarterback kaleidoscope.

Because I can’t miss it when it comes down the feed? PDX makes a lot of good posts and holds me accountable for bad logic and data; I’m not going to put him on ignore.

But I don’t think it’s untoward for members of the board to say “please dont post randos on here.” This is a curated audience; we don’t need to turn the #content fire hose on one another. Just because this posted attached a graphic doesn’t make him more authoritative than “someone on the bus shared this.”

Let’s have more respect for ourselves and each other.

I read stuff everyone on here posts every day. There are differing levels of sports knowledge and intelligence. Just chalk that up to something similar. Who cares that it was in a tweet? Those are still five people’s opinions. Just leave em as such. No one is the dumber for having it posted here. We read dumber things from our own daily (no offense dumbs dumbs I love you all, I’m one of yall).

Because just by virtue of being here and being Cards fans they’re likely more knowledgeable than the content crestors being posted without comment here.

If you want to link to a Twitter rando, at least add to it and say “I think this guy has a good point because of x and y.” Otherwise people are just posting something they heard on the internet that mentioned the Cardinals.

If someone was posting their BiL’s opinion on the Cards (who is mostly into Daily Fantasy and not the Cards) people would say something. This is no different.

We all post on a Cardinals message… A LOT. Whatever respect any of us had for ourselves went out the window a looooooong time ago.

Cardinals really should be in on Richardson.

If any team is in a position to say "Screw it. Next year is boned anyway, let's roll the dice on a guy that's not 24 yet and has 3 years in the league already" it's the Cards.

Worst case, you burn a 4th round pick on a future backup and you draft high next year. Throw him out there and see what you have by game 17.

$4.4 million against the cap. He’s only played 807 snaps as a pro.

Apparently his eye injury was very concerning. Need to check all the medicals but I wouldn’t mind this.

Only under contract for 2026 tho.

No. This is a guy that pulled himself out of a game because he was tired.

Yeah, that stunt concerns me more than the lack of quality play he demonstrated, I am 100% serious, if you are a leader you don't tap out on third down because you are fatigued. Maybe its happened with a QB before but I honestly can't think of another example.

What would you prefer him do? One thing that’s been annoying sometimes when Kyler was more willing to run was that we seemed to always run Conner up the middle following a big scramble.

Yes, these guys could probably be better conditioned but they’re being asked to transition from a huge physical/aerobic load to a huge mental/dexterity load in 40 seconds.

This may sound a little crazy, but can we talk about what it would take to get Will Levis in here to work with Matt Schaub and see if there's anything there? Huge arm. I think that organization who drafted him was a huge mess and he just got discarded. I'd rather take a flyer (6th or 7th rounder) on this guy than throw $30MM+ at Malik only to find out the sample size was a mirage. Thoughts?
