Thx a lot. Just lost a bet to a friend when I said it would be at least three days before the Board turned on him. Friend said, knowing this Board that would be easy money. So, I'm out $25.

I'll share the one-on-one interview w/ Mike LaFleur when it's posted, but it was a hell of a first impression. He seems very authentic and I'm intrigued for what's to come in the next few weeks as he finalizes his staff

“We’ve got to go back and talk about all these decisions — quarterback, O-line, specialists,” LaFleur said, via Darren Urban of the team website. “Everything. It’s our job and for these players to build the best roster at each position. Those are conversations we will have, and I am looking forward in about 45 minutes getting after it.”

Monti said the Cards saw LaFleur's tenure with the Jets as a plus, despite finishing bottom five in scoring both years:"The way we viewed Mike's time in New York was a positive. Had his hand in walking into a tough situation. The Jets ran into some tough things to deal with."

It was kind of a joke but there is a ton that needs to happen in a very short amount of time. Going to be some long days ahead for ML and company!

agree...not a consolation prize.

My main concern is the little brother syndrome. Mikes career path indicates nepotism played a large part in getting him opportunities in the NFL...and life experience has shown me that younger brothers are rarely as good at the chosen profession of their older brother... Harbaughs seem to be an exception..
I mean, just look at Peyton and Eli..if you were building a team....how many folks would really choose Eli over Peyton to lead their new team?...Technically, yeah, they both have the same number of rings...but anyone with functional eyes and multiple brain cells can see Peyton is a far superior QB.
But guys who learn under McVey tend to shine. So, lets hope Mike was paying attention while he was in L.A.
Eli won 2 Super Bowls, so he was hardly a bum lol.

He could have also said “Hey, they’re the Jets—nuff said!” :)
