I'm leaning Kubiak right now as the HC with him hopefully bringing in Morris to be his DC. Assuming Morris doesn't get another HC job this go around.

Vance would be choice #2 if he brought in Webb to be his OC.

McDermott would be a very nice get as well if the Cardinals end up adding him to their list.

Your argument is against them saying they aren’t turnaround artists but you want to hire unproven guys to be turn around artists.

Please stop.

They know how to win in the NFL as HCs which unproven talent doesn’t know how to do. JG is the absolute latest example. I don’t want to see this movie again next season.

A culture of preparation and winning needs to be instituted here and our best bet at doing that are McDermott and McCarthy.
Buddy sometimes first year head coaches do find innovative ways to compete fast. DeMeco Ryan has gone to the playoffs every year since he took over a team that was 11-38-1 in the prior three seasons.

An underwhelming bunch, but this is where we are as a franchise: the least-desirable of destinations.
Really? I have highlighted Mike LaFleur, Klint Kubiak and Anthony Weaver from the start as three of my four favorites, and after learning about Campanile, I would not be opposed to him either. Add in Chris Shula (and maybe even McDermott), and that is five or six very good candidates right there.

It all depends on the situation that first year head coach comes into. Ryan entered at year 3 of Caserio's rebuild. Caserio had already flushed the roster and added some young talent that hadn't quite proven themselves yet.

So that would be very similar to whoever enters the Cardinal job. Most of the work flushing the Cardinals roster has been done already. The last piece to flush is Kyler. Whoever the new coach is will have a decent young base to build off of day one.

I would say solid instead of very good. Hope is not lost just deferred. To me Campanile is a reach.

The GM for the Texans has done a fantastic job hiring Ryan and drafting.

Meanwhile MO has been pretty terrible at both. We are not the Texans. Not even remotely close historically and in terms of ownerships commitment to winning at all costs.

I would love to gamble again on another young guy but we are not in that ballpark. The Cardinals are at the point where they might lose the fan base for a decade here in Phoenix. Bidwill, M. should not be putting their faith in a unproven up and comer this time around.

Agreed, with the one caveat being thy hit on a QB(I know he’s not perfect but he has been good) in their first draft. Not sure we have that or are in a position to get that.

Yeah the QB position will be up in the air in year one and pretty much a placeholder. 2027 is when the Cardinals will draft their QBOTF.
