i think it was more about running with fleming and maluach - stockton is best team in the g-league and we jumped out to nice lead but had to hold on at the end - closest thing i seen to a nba game so farBouyea is pretty clearly not a Gleague player at this point. Seems odd to have him there, unless he was just wanting to get some run.
Yeah, hopefully it was just conditioning related with him coming back from that concussion. I really like Bouyea, we need to find a way to keep him in the rotationBouyea is pretty clearly not a Gleague player at this point. Seems odd to have him there, unless he was just wanting to get some run.
i love the guy - creates his own shot - blocks shots - nails the 3 and sparks the team but we just got jalen green - i have no idea what ott is thinking - he is a defense first coachYeah, hopefully it was just conditioning related with him coming back from that concussion. When I saw him playing, I said to Alex I bet he is there just for conditioning so he can run a full game with no pressure or need to pull him.i love the guy - creates his own shot - blocks shots - nails the 3 and sparks the team but we just got jalen green - i have no idea what ott is thinking - he is a defense first coach
ye was really good at the end - carried the teamWhen I saw him playing, I said to Alex I bet he is there just for conditioning so he can run a full game with no pressure or need to pull him.
I totally forgot about the concussion, I was only thinking about the returning players needing minutes.Yeah, hopefully it was just conditioning related with him coming back from that concussion. I really like Bouyea, we need to find a way to keep him in the rotation
Yeah, for Bouyea, it was 5 on 10 (seeing double joke) and they still beat them!I totally forgot about the concussion, I was only thinking about the returning players needing minutes.
When Flemming gets better at knowing his place on the floor defensively, and rebounding better, I could totally see him become our PF. Except right now, you would have to take Brooks off the floor with Green eventually starting next to Booker. That's not happening. Best we could hope for is Flemming on the second unit, but you have a lot of vets ahead of him on the pecking order. I am OK with him learning this year. You see flashes with his D on one on ones, and the three when it goes looks silky smooth. You could just envision the modern PF with his length and defense. He is deficient on the boards right now. Plus look how Oso and Dunn's bodies changed with a good off season with the trainers. He needs some bulk.
Just for clarity, we are fine right this moment with depth at the 5, it's the 4 that is the issue.Flemming might be the Suns future at power forward, but until then, the Suns really need another player that can give them depth and minutes at the 4/5 if needed. It's a long season.

Nick Richards is 100% depth. I'm not sure what you want, you can't have 15 starters on a team. Hell, if depth at 5 is such a problem, why would we entertain trading Richards for just a 2nd round pick? The reality doesn't match your assertion. If someone gets injured at the 4 or 5, the Suns are in trouble. That's why I'd like to add a player that can play both positions.
IMO, Nick Richards is not the answer at the 5 and the Suns need someone who can rebound, bang and play defense to cover both spots.

This still doesn't match the reality of the situation. We had DA and Kaminsky along with Saric, and no matter how much we liked the guy, Kaminsky was barely an NBA player. Here we still have Mark Williams and Oso already. So when we're talking about rotation, what we have today is a lot different than what we had in the Finals. My position goes back to the Finals when Dario Saric was injured and the Suns were left lacking in the middle. The Suns can presently play with any team but not planning for injuries or a trade is a mistake.
Maybe by the time he becomes the Suns starting power forward, people will start spelling his last name correctly!Flemming might be the Suns future at power forward, but until then, the Suns really need another player that can give them depth and minutes at the 4/5 if needed. It's a long season.

Yeah, I was saying that Kaminsky was worthless in an everyday role, even as a backup, especially the primary backup. For all his faults, Richards could still be a backup in a pinch, which is all we need at that position.Down the stretch of the Finals season, Saric had become the Suns backup 4/5 as Kaminsky had fallen of favor with Monty. When he went down to injury, the Suns were extremely vulnerable inside to the Bucks. Ayton was about the player standing between Giannis and the basket.
If the Suns lost one of Williams or Oso, the Suns would be vulnerable again, because they play relatively small at power forward. It would be nice if one of the Suns rookie big men could help but I'm not counting on it. Livers is a nice two-way contract player but he is not ready for this role.
oso and williams would be a nuclear optionI know people want a PF for rebounding and size. There is even one podcast here in the Valley suggesting playing Oso next to Williams. I keep pointing out if you play Oso next to Williams, who is the second unit Center? It would have to be Richards. But most fans want to trade Richards away. Another problem with starting Oso, is who do you take off the floor? Brooks? O'Neale? Finally, the reason we are winning is defense primarily, but spacing on offense secondarily. Having three point shooters to space the floor for Booker has been working. You put Oso and Williams out there, and the spacing becomes very tight. It would be much easier to double Booker. In theory it would be nice to have a good PF that can shoot the three, rebound, and play good switching defense. Not many of those guys teams would be willing to part with for the assets we have to trade.
I agree totally with this. Looking for a PF undervalues what ONeal is bringing to the floor every night. And we are not a bad rebounding or defensive team. We can’t get fixated on how tall people are. The most important thing is what is happening on the floor.I know people want a PF for rebounding and size. We are a bad rebounding team. Yes, we are in the top five in offensive rebounds, but second worst in defensive rebounds and #20 overall. And we are not a bad rebounding or defensive team.
