I called Joe Brady back in November!
Hard pass for me. Josh Allen makes up for ineptness all by himself. (Not saying he’s inept) Don’t think anyone running a JA offense can fail honestly. Then add in James Cook at RB? Oooof…..

He could be good or he could just be masked by arguably the best QB in the NFL.

Josh has no WRs and Brady made the adjustments to create the best rushing game. I want a coach who is willing to adapt to win

Mike LeFleur and Kubiak are intriguing. My fear is that it is Arthur Smith who brings in Justin Fields. :hammer:
Fields is still under contract with the Jets. They certainly have the cap space to cut him but he has a $20 million cap number with the Jets next year ($10 mil salary if traded).

He didn’t love Fields last year; I think Michael might be intimidated by having a head coach richer than he is.

I see the espn list here but think we should consider some college coaches also. Running NFL style balanced systems-
Not air red - but fundamentally sound systems.
Kyler should compete against a top draft pick - he would be hard to beat out - as well he should be. Both should have value at the right time.

College coaches available are very inexperienced this year. Plus NFL jobs in many cases pay less and have less prestige. The advent of the portal has even reduced the amount of recruiting, which was the reason many went to the NFL.

Pretty sure it was intended as mild racist humor.
Thank you oaken 1, that's the way I read it also but obviously we're both mistaken because the use of racist remarks is the number 1 infraction of the rules of the forum. So, I guess it was.....something else.

How in the world does Petzing keep showing up on these lists?!? It would make sense to go on Polymarket and bet against it... only a tiny edge to be had, but it's free money!

You mean the vibe of racism and misogyny? lol

I don't get the Gruden love at all. He didn't win crap without Dungy's players and the Raiders were an absolute dumpster fire of a roster he put together, not to mention he'll never be in the NFL again with the way he left the Raiders.
He won the Super Bowl in 2003 (with Dungy's players?)

I agree they have a buffoon of an owner, but disagree on Monti. Even Monti himself couldn't come up with any answers to the same tough questions we're asking about him on here. He pretty much proved that he isn't getting the job done. Or that he's a horrible public speaker, and that ain't the reason.
I don’t think I was all that complimentary of MO, but I also think it’s still too early to warrant a final verdict on him either. No doubt that he’s now under a microscope. I still think this team has talent potential & it really doesn’t hurt that some of them were thrust into roles that they weren’t ready for. I hope 2026 allows these players to provide answers for us, regardless of whether those answers are positive or not. Then we’ll have a better idea as to what we may or may not have with MO.

Khalil Shakir is their WR1.

He would be a high-end WR3/low-end WR2 on many other teams.

Dungy was coach of the Buccaneers through the 2001 season and had made the playoffs three years running.

Gruden was hired as coach of the Buccaneers for the 2002 season and beat the Raiders in the Super Bowl.

Ironically, Gruden had been coach of the Raiders through the 2001 season and made the playoffs two years running.

It was his former OC, Bill Callahan, who coached the Raiders in the playoffs... a name that's come up recently in connection to Cardinals coaching openings!

It’s be crazy to think they don’t know enough about this guy and there just doing this for Rooney Rule purposes.

There’s a short list of new coaches I’d be immediately out on; Vance isn’t on that list.

Mike likes people he knows. I frankly surprised Vance took the interview
