You mean the vibe of racism and misogyny? lol

I don't get the Gruden love at all. He didn't win crap without Dungy's players and the Raiders were an absolute dumpster fire of a roster he put together, not to mention he'll never be in the NFL again with the way he left the Raiders.
So you’re saying he’s the PERFECT fit for this dumpster fire franchise??

Disagree. I think candidates look at HCs in their division, and quality of team, and it factors heavily. There's been no cycling with the 3 teams in our division. At least two have made the playoffs for the last how many years? When was the last time any of them had a losing record? When the Niners drafted Lance because of injuries?

Niners, Rams and Chicks have this division locked down. Practically guaranteed 10 wins each per year for the foreseeable. The only possible change is if Stafford retires and McVay decides to join him or move on. But they have two 1st's this year and I expect them to turn them into capital for next years QB class. Or draft someone like Nussmeier and have him learn.
This is a loser mentality that I hope our new hire won’t share.

The Cardinals are what they are, not because of a GM, not because of any HC, past or present, but because they have a buffoon of an owner. His father was always the joke of the NFL, and now he’s taken up the mantle also. Go watch his interview with MO yesterday. I think the guy has literally lost his mind. Yesterday, I said that our future as fans would be to somehow occasionally luck into a winning season here and there. I take that back. We literally have zero chance of that happening. The Bidwills, father and now son, have shown their a$$ so much over the decades, that they will ALWAYS get the least qualified coaches moving forward. MO looked absolutely miserable, could barely get words out of his mouth, and for all intents and purposes, is a dead man walking. If he had any self respect, he would tell Bidwill to pound salt, leave this dumpster fire now, and keep whatever reputation he may still have around the league intact. The rest of the league knows what Bidwill is & would understand. I’ve been around long enough to have seen both father and now son. Some may say that Michael isn’t as bad an owner as his father was. Maybe, maybe not. Doesn’t matter really. They are both pathetic owners & if the NFL doesn’t give a damn, and they don’t, this tragedy of a franchise will continue on until another Bidwill family member continues the shame.
I agree they have a buffoon of an owner, but disagree on Monti. Even Monti himself couldn't come up with any answers to the same tough questions we're asking about him on here. He pretty much proved that he isn't getting the job done. Or that he's a horrible public speaker, and that ain't the reason.

Interesting note - 9 out of 12 were first time head coaches.

Buddy Ryan, BA, and Dennis Green - I don't count BA due to Indy experience.

The last three (Gannon, KK, and Wilks) have been first time head coaches with a combined record of 36-86 (KK had 28 of those wins)

If you look at the history of Cardinal coaches, I believe you have to go back to 1962 (Wally Lemm - 1 year of HC experience before Cardinals) for the next HC we hired with experience.

19 Head Coaches since 1962 - 3 with previous NFL HC experience.

Maybe we should try experienced coaches?

I really don’t have a preference. Just no retread unless John Harbaugh becomes available
