There is so much wrong with the Cardinals but not keeping Brissett would be a huge mistake. His passing numbers are outstanding and it would be extraordinarily difficult to find a better quarterback. As posters have emphasized, there are many problems starting with the coaching staff. Fix those problems first and with the return of injured players and additions get a much better running game also.

Kinda OT, but I still think Kyler is better than Bryce and probably Caleb Williams as well. Is he 30 mill better? No. Just saying.

Those guys are winning though. Must be nice.
Caleb is literally a 6’1” Kyler. Same talent and arm with below average instincts. Hes just better because he can see more of the field.

Physically better sure.

As a QB? Not sure it matters if he sees throws Kyler doesnt if he keeps missing them. And Im someone who defended Caleb on this board a couple years ago. His accuracy aint there, but the Bears have the stability now to win games while he develops.

Haven't started replay yet so from highlights, the TD to Wirfs am I correct that it was Budda's man or was it supposed to be Zaven? Seems like to me Zaven is rushing and since Wirfs had reported eligible Budda has to know that when Zaven goes in, Budda has to cover Wirfs but instead he went inside?

Looked like Budda’s zone.

Couple of other thoughts. 2 really nice runs by Bam where he broke a tackle in the backfield and got good yards. The TD catch was a nice play by him saw the scramble found an open area and TD. That said, the fumble was just terrible he didn't have the ball put away, I think Vea bumped it out from behind but he never really tucked it away. Just prior to the TD catch he nearly did the exact same thing on a run up the middle the ball started come out but he was able to hold on to that one. And sure seemed to me the 4th and 1 was blocked well enough to get a first down seems like he should have been able to get it but #90 got him down.

He's clearly better than Carter but from highlights Carter had an absolutely outstanding play on the 3rd and 4 where he broke 2 tackles to get the first. Same drive where Bam got stopped short on 4th and 1. I would assume Bam has a chance to stick next year as a backup probably depends on what we do at coach

Just listened to JG's post game presser. He once again (like last week) defended the 3rd and short deep pass into double coverage. Said he loved the call. SMH.
This just shows what alot of us have been saying which is this coaching staff doesnt learn. This is why we have constantly lost close games.

There has to be a mid point between doing three runs up the middle vs throwing a bomb to Xavier freaking Weaver on third and short.

I agree. Petzing has just been so mind numbing with his calls that Rallis hasn't gotten nearly the criticism that he deserves.

I think Rallis is just a reflection of Gannon, in terms of going soft at the wrong times - unlike Petzing, Rallis has had to deal with a sketchy and injured roster, and seems to be calling better games in the 4th quarter. I would love to see Rallis continue under a better head coach, imagine him learning timed aggression under someone like BA for a year or two. I always think of the changes in DCs like Bowles and Vance Joseph when they call a defense with a creative and aggressive head coach at the helm.

Hard disagree on this
Curious if you would have made any roster moves after the two projected starting DBs went out for the year and were comfortable with our selection of ADG and Simon behind Wilson at ILB. I wasn't and am fairly impressed that Rallis is juggling rookies (and second year players) as well as he has. The 4th quarter flops are a reflection of Gannon to me, as Petzing also liked to roll into a ball with play calls in the 4th quarter to lose games.

Did anyone actually think we were going to win the game today before that last possession? I just assumed we would blow it somehow.

Rallis and his soft zone and zero pressure defense is terrible

With our record he should be dialing up the pressure with stunts and blitzes

Live or die by the sword

It would allow the D to play to their best and build confidence
