Would kyler for JJ McCarthy and 3rd round pick something that should be done?

What did I do to you to deserve that?

(-:

The good thing about that deal is that we'd get a high pick next year after starting JJ

Budda was in the box all last year why they changed is the problem
budda had free will a lot last year - he was free to diagnose the play - blitz the gap assigned or jump around to find vulnerable spots - he'd drop back into coverage when he knew it was a hot route - he knew when it was a run and would go missle mode

Did he? Honestly don't remember that. I recall he was used much the same as now with the occasional blitz because our pass rush sucked.

But generally they prefer to blitz with linebackers and Budda spends most of his time at free safety.
He was played close to the line and that’s why we played so much three-safety defense.

Now we’re playing more one-LB looks and need him cover for more weaknesses in the Slot with Williams out.

Michael Vick couldn’t throw a football either other than with power… yet prior to his dog issues, everybody loved him including many on this board. Career completion percentage 56%. The guy was awful as a thrower….
.
Vick would be a problem in today’s game. Hell he was pretty good in Philly.

he had a great arm just no accuracy, Fields has neither. Plus it's a different era, 65.3 was the league average for completion % 2 years ago that's the most recent I can find. Fields has been below that in all but one of his years, and all he does is dump the ball off.

Vick was never as good as the hype I will agree with that plus a horrible person
.
He WAS a scumbag but he paid his debt to society and has been working admirably to repair his image and teaching younger generations to avoid his mistakes.

When did Budda make a play this year that made you think he's a top safety?

The Cards don't use him right. Budda is a box safety, run stuffing blitzer. Gannon doesn't use safeties that way so you can argue he's not a scheme fit here.
In all fairness, they did use him that way when 3 out of their top 4 corners were suiting up.

I would go pick Breece up from NY and drive him to the valley myself. A 3rd??? Man c'mon. Would we do any better with that same pick come draft day? Yeah right.

Even if you’re not making a playoff run moves can be made to improve the roster for next year. We won’t.
If you’re not sure of who will be the coaches, adding a player is practically impossible.
