I absolutely can blame Monti, just like I can blame Keim though I loved the Simmons pick at the time. If you make the wrong pick, it doesn't matter if it appeared obvious at the time. You're the GM and you have to own it. Perk of the job.
Nahhhh there is absolutely some people that didn’t think Simmons translated up to the hype and didn’t know where he was gonna play, etc…. Good luck finding one single expert that said Marvin Harrison wasn’t an excellent pic and a sure fire star in the future.

That wasn’t the case. There were voices for Nabers and also Team Haul.
OK, go find me a scout or an expert that said they didn’t like MHJ or think he was a sure fire hit. I’ll be waiting. Sure there were some that said they like Nabers but they also like MHJ. Go find me one that said he’s gonna be a bust.

I’m not sure he even catches that pass against Buffalo late in that game last year

Remember, he also dropped his very first target in that game

I'm not out on MHJ yet, but that sideline shot after the bobble tells me all I need to know about where his mental state is. Like Herbstreet said on the broadcast, he has to slow his mind down and simplify things.

He has elite talent. That much is undeniable. But there's something in his head that's killing him, whether it be his cohorts performing better, trying the live up to expectations, or being the son of a HoFer.

Maybe he does need benched for a game. Not sure if it would help, but something has to give. He's killed the team twice.

IS IT? He was an extremely safe-seeming pick at the time, but he didn’t run, he didn’t work out publicly. Maybe it was all PR.

His rookie season was mid AF and we were full of cope afterwards. Plenty of top prospects outperform in their first season.

His talent is as elite as Kyler's is generational.

TJ also believed Josh Rosen was an elite talent until the core.

So….yea
No need to make it personal. I like Josh Rosen, also.

Maybe Michael said MHJ or bust but you have to look at the facts here. MHJ is, I believe, and excellent technician, but Monti needed to understand who his QB was and that we needed a MacMillan type.

And what sucks is I can’t even blame Monty pretty much every expert in the world said that he was a pure fire sure thing, and every single Cardinals fan was jumping with joy when we drafted him….. It’s literally mind-boggling.
I wanted Joe Alt.
Check the tape.

But I wasn't mad about getting Marv
