Ohio State and the Harrison family had such a nice experience together that they decided to run it back. OSU added another member of the Harrison family to its wide receiver lineage when receiver Jett Harrison announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver is currently ranked the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 4 player overall in the 2028 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Harrison is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr. and the younger brother of former Ohio State legend and current Arizona Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. The younger Harrison was offered by Ohio State in May 2025, well before his sophomore season. While having family lineage may have made the Buckeyes the favorite, that did not stop other prominent programs from recruiting him. Harrison took visits to Ohio State, Miami, and Oregon, and also drew interest from other programs such as Alabama, Texas A&M, and USC.
Eventually, Harrison settled on the same program as his elder brother, though he emphasized his decision was rooted in his own personal relationship with the staff and the vision they shared for his role on offense.
For Ohio State, the commitment of Harrison is both symbolic and a legit tangible win. Harrison is the type of blue-chip talent that can rally recruiting classes. Whether he is able to follow in the footsteps of his brother, who had an All-American career as well as being a top-five NFL draft selection, remains to be seen. For now, Ohio State fans will just be satisfied to see a familiar name back in Columbus.
