oh come on man. Most of those hacks never even heard of the Cardinals until their end of semester NFL test in poor excuse for journalism school.

at least come up with a site that has "red" in the title if it cant directly be a cardinals site...
as much as I hate to say this...when it comes to the Cardinals Revenge of the Birds has more credibility than any of that drek you are calling sources.

even Walters fantastical fanboy musings are more credible than that crap

I can't think of a single area that Wilson is standout in.

Size: Nope
Speed: Nope
Rout Running: Nope
Hands: Absolutely No

Define standout.

He has good size.

He has below average speed.

He is a good route runner.

He has a 2.3% career drop %. That is good.

The issue for Wilson is a similar issue for MHJ. If you don't have elite burst to create separation or are not schemed open, you are going to struggle at times with Kyler because he isn't a timing and rhythm QB.

Yup. Kyler is a "See guy open, throw ball" guy. Very little anticipation. A lot of the reason WR's in the league are "open" is because the QB throws them open and they have to be at the right spot on time. Never seen Kyler do this with any consistency.

Yeah there aren’t any categories where he’s below a C+. I think Monti and Petzing like very technical wideouts, but Kyler is a vibes QB and there’s a gap there.

Petzing’s challenge is to either make Kyler more technically proficient or design more plays where technically adept targets win earlier in the down so Kyler can find the window.

Even just releasing the ball before the WR is out of their break creates separation which Kyler isn't great at. It's why some people said Nabers would be a better fit for Kyler. Split seconds matter at the NFL level.

that's exactly right - old school tecmo bowl quick routes with sharp angles to spring the receivers quickly - forcing the linebackers to make a lot of decisions on the fly and into coverage - if the play extends past that work your way back to kyler or release up field

The Eagles current offense looks a lot like this based on what I saw last night. Unfortunately, Kyler isn’t as interested in running as Hurts is.

Stand Out

Upper echelon of the NFL.

He is a meh WR in every way based on your analysis above.

Let’s close the book on a 3rd rd pick being capable of a #3 pass catcher before his third season. Takes!

i wonder how our single linebacker defense would look against that

He does this with McBride a lot. Trust / shorter routes.

Ok. Where has he been touted as an upper echelon wide receiver? He was 70 something in yards receiving last year. Not terrible for the 3rd receiving option on an offense, but also not awesome. An ok 3rd receiving option on a team that wants to run the ball and play a lot of 12 and 13 personnel isn't neglect.

So are about 120 other guys that collect an nfl check.
But unlike many of those guys Wilson will get a multi year contract when his rookie deal is up.

That may be a QB problem and a route problem. He lead the WR corps in average YAC.

Maybe?

Big Play Trey was 22nd in the league in per reception YAC (I believe this includes TEs and WRs)

Michael Wilson? 83rd.

That's quite a disparity.

Also this has Dortch at 5th in the league in average YAC (but with relatively few touches of course)

Agree completely but also feel they have a different skill set overall. Kyler is faster and elusive, Hurts is a bull. Hurts was never known to be accurate passer, it’s also why you hear Brown consistently complain. Brown would fit better with Kyler.

Yes but look at the Average Depth of Target:

McBride: 6.1
Wilson: 11.4
Dortch: 4.1

Yes if you’re throwing very short it’s easier to be accurate and let guys run. Terrible take.
