How are so many people on here confident Kyler is not the answer at QB but more than ready to give up our next 2 firsts for Parsons?

That makes no logical sense whatsoever. Either you believe Kyler is good enough and we can spend picks on other positions or you don't.

Thats not really a zero sum equation.
you can trade picks and still replace Kyler if needed.
You replace him with the picks you get for him. Because certainly there is an nfl staff out there that thinks they are better than JG and can get Kyler to be exactly what they want. Its not just the players that have egos.

I at least hope that Monti made a good faith effort to trade for him.
It doesn’t matter he is a GM for a cut rate organization.

Packers don’t even have an owner and play in a smaller market yet we can’t get guys like Parsons.

He is not worth the price the Packers paid in trade compensation or cap space. Glad the Cards did not do a deal like that.
Of course the price is not worth it to us. We actually suck. The packers have something to play for.

I thought cowboys would get a lot more, a few 2nds/3rds or 4ths along with the 1st's. Not sure how good the DT is. Parsons is a stud and young. Packers got their next Reggie White?

Cowboys got some fire power to get a QB in next years draft along with the Rams

cowpokes could blunder along per usual this season...then trade Dak at the deadline to some needy team that hit misfortune in the middle of a playoff run....tank the remainder of the season,...and go into next april with a ton of draft capital

I would have given the two 1st rounders.

No on the 47M. That is 14% more than Garrett. This is on the Cowboys for waiting this long and probably why the draft compensation is “only” 2x1dt rounders. Parsons agent reportedly asked for 42M in Feb.

If Monti pulled it off, it would have been at the expense of some of the young players that is going to get paid over the next two years.

Whose mad?

Boomer jokes are the best jokes.

Jones was top shelf, but he was nowhere near Parsons level. No one considered Jones the best in the game. Some believe Parsons is hence the pub on this trade.

They have a CEO for an organization that isn't concerned about profit. And because they a public non-profit company, we can actually see their financials. They made $83.7 million in profit that season on $719 in revenue and that $83.7 million must must be invested back into the team. It actually makes things easier for them.
