yet all logical. 3 is interesting. Would you then speculate that had the offense been showing out appropriately, he would've shelved them for pre season? I always think reps are good, so I was hoping it was more of a simple change of heart philosophically.
They only have one joint practice this year with Denver so it could be to help supplement that. My best guess is that Gannon has seen the team seem to start slow in his first two seasons, and he just wants to try something new to see if it has an impact at all. I feel like that fits his mindset a bit.

In terms of the offense. The story I tell there is the offensive unit has had very little turnover since last year and despite defenses normally having an advantage over offenses early in camp, you would think this unit would negate this more due to the continuity it has. The only new starter on offense is Adams at RG vs the defense which has 7 new starters (Melton, Williams/Johnson, Davis-Gaither, Sweat, Tomlinson, Campbell, and Robinson) plus a new green dot. Despite it being camp (and content season), the offense not being crisp IMO is a little surprising due to this reason.

every remaining free agent ranking on the internet and the 10 or so teams specifically and directly linked to hernandez when googling whe words "will hernandez guard free agent"
Yea I did that and all say this guy is a POSSIBLE TARGET, or COULD BE a target of these three teams etc. etc. speculation nothing about guaranteed interest.

it's kinda obvious homie - he's the only non top tier non crap tier offensive guard remaining - doesn't cost a ton but still a quality guard - question is where he is physically? cuz if he's healthy i guarantee there are suiters - possibly in our own division my guy - chickens whiners and lambs all know how hard we went on defense this offseason - they know we're coming up the middle too - but sure man nobody wants hernandez but us

I’ve heard it’s the dominant defense and not Kyler’s fault. Don’t believe the articles written about Kyler’s worrisome turnovers. Don’t ya know?!!

Another thought it’s against KC and Reid will play his starters for a few series.

The viewership for a Saturday night game will be high for a preseason game.
I don't know why the former point matters at all.

For the latter point, maybe on TV but I don't think that's as important to Michael's bottom line as people at the stadium, buying concessions, etc.

As far as I know the only team to bring in Hernandez for a visit this offseason so far is the Arizona Cardinals. That can obviously change but it is a good sign for the Cards

if we can sign him before any preseason injuries happen on other teams i'll be one happy hippie - really hope he wants to stay and that we don't delay

He seems like a guy who can fit at LB for Gannon and Rallis. Seems to be smart. Lots of experience. Comes across as having a professional mindset. Has a base level of athleticism. Physical player. Who knows if that fit means starter or core reserve, but I would be shocked if he doesn't at least hang around.

I get some Jordan Hicks vibes from Simon. Can't really say why.
he does have an Aire of "This guy means business" about him

good on good always helps a team get better.
Iron sharpens iron, and all that.
it also helps the staff evaluate where they need to focus their energy. If our goods totally frustrate Pat and the boys in certain areas then we know that them smothering our own offense in those areas does not indicate our offense totally sucks in those areas.....however, if Pat and the boys breeze through in areas kyler and the boys get shut down, we then know we have an area of emphasis.
its like putting wider tires on your truck. Its going to be a bonus over rocks...it will hurt you in deep mud... but what about sand?.... its good to know these things so you know which set of spare tires to bring.

If the defense leads us to the playoffs, Nick is a HC next season.

They're only going to get 15-20 snaps. That's not anything.

He's taken on the responsibility of wearing the green dot
Maybe he's practiced with it, but other articles give the impression that Mack Wilson has the starter's role with the green dot:
For Wilson, it’s a change both in where he plays on the field and in his communication responsibilities. He now wears the green dot, meaning he is responsible for taking playcalls from defensive coordinator Nick Rallis and communicating them to the rest of the defense.

Wilson’s transition leaves free agent addition Akeem Davis-Gaither as the Cardinals’ starting weakside — or ‘Will’ — linebacker for now, although fourth-round rookie Cody Simon did rotate in with the first team on Day 3 of camp.
