Gambo said today the Suns will likely be starting Green at PG not Booker. Gillespie will be the backup PG. Goodwin and Butler battling for 3rd PG spot.
I don't see why it matters. It's been "Guard, Forward, Center" for years. Pigeon-holing positions doesn't really work anymore in this day and age.

Maybe maybe not. I would say more often than not when we don't have an identity at that position the results speak for themselves. I am just interested to see how any of this works out.

Green and Booker can be considered combo guards, so I'm not sure if labels matter a lot.

Gillespie is the only true point guard on the roster.

If you have "playmakers" at both guard spots, what does it matter if one is called a PG and one is called a SG?

The league has been trending in this direction for a while in regards to PG's. There aren't many true PG's in the league and even some of the top guys labeled as PG's like Shai, Cade, and even Fox are combo guards. Halliburton is probably one of the few true PG's under 30 that is a legit starter.

Green and Booker should be fine. I like that pair more than Book and Beal, disregarding Beal's injuries.

I can't help but think back to when Ryan McDonough wanted Dragic to play shooting guard opposite Bledsoe, which led to him wanting to be traded. This shouldn't be an issue here, but it brings back memories.

I've always wanted the Suns to run a passing offense. This might be the start.

Report, the Suns have been aggressive in pursuing Jonathan Kuminga, but the Warriors haven't been interested in their offers.

It wouldn't surprise me at all that, if the Suns look really bad next year, Booker is traded either mid-season, or (more likely) next summer. He's the last good piece they have that could bring a real return and they will need to move him while they can still get value.

It takes something to get something. Finding small forwards is easier than power forwards.

The question, is Kuminga worth it? I honestly can't tell you. Haven't studied his game.

I like Dunn as much as the next guy but he shouldn’t be seen as untradeable . Kuminga is the same age and is probably close to what we hope Dunn becomes.

I strongly disagree. You are also not factoring in that Dunn is cost controlled for another 4 years at 2.5M, 2.8M, 5M, and 8M. That's 4 years of Dunn for less than 1 year of what Kuminga will cost.

Aside from the CBA, which must be factored into the equation, adding a potential star is the more important issue.
