I personally would have just traded Book at this point while he had premium value in order to accelerate the rebuild and get back missing draft picks. This is going to be a weird purgatory phase where it’ll be a fringe play-in team with no lottery pick, and Booker’s value isn’t ever going to increase.

i'm hoping this present plan for basketball purgatory gets an update once it's apparent how far away this team is by mid-season. Right now is the right time to trade him, but with our ishues, that's not gonna happen until it's glaringly obvious.

Fair, but I do think he got an egregious amount of support, those teams were loaded inspite of him.

I know a lot of Laker fans who lament that Kobe couldn't get help after 2011, but he couldn't get help because no one wanted to play with him, even he and Pau (while they later became good friends in retirement) fueded.

My main point is that Kobe's mentality was a bigger hindrance than a help, they could have done more if he wasn't a prick and ball hog.
Can’t argue with the prick and ball hog comment.

Report, Suns and Devin Booker have agreed on a two year, $150 million extension.

Welp. Was hoping he’d at least take less than the full max like Brunson and JJJ.

I'm waiting for a follow-up story because this should be big news everywhere but it isn't at the moment.

As yet, nothing from Gerald Bourguet or Shams Charania on the Booker extension.

It's not even on Phoenix Suns twitter.

Just when I was thinking the Suns FO might be turning things around...

I'm thinking Devin Booker will be extended at some point, but only one source reporting it seems a bit odd.

Nothing additional about the report on Devin Booker agreeing to an extension via Evan Sidery.

There should have been follow-up by now.

It was listed as "Breaking" so I expect a higher standard.

I was hoping too, maybe keeping it the same something like 55M would be ideal, or max 60M.

We can't just oh well the cap is increasing.

A glance back in time. This team loved each other.

Double whammy of both Al McCoy and Ricky Rubio. Miss them both.

I was thinking the same thing. It was a prelude to better things to come. Miss that chemistry.

Rare air in that series... dude was playing with a mash unit, he also was unreal against the Clippers in the previous round. He may have played the best basketball of his life in that 2023 playoffs, but for a team that was thinned out by trade and injury and had no hope. It's also utterly insane to me that there are a lot who view his performance in that series as a knock on him.
