I think this is the play you are talking about.

That’s it. I mean it’s absurd how high he gets. I hadn’t realized that he actually vaulted a bit off Jackson until I heard kerrs comment there.

Jackson's shoulder may have helped a bit, but I think Chambers elevated even more and hung mid-air in an attempt to keep from hurting him.

didn't you complain about "cherry picking" 2 weeks ago? It must have taken some effort to get the best results based on the right number of seconds (3) just right. What about 5 seconds? or 2? Try the overall clutch shooting percentage in the last 2 minutes of games within 5 points.

and, besides for Booker's wide open 2, did you you gush about Durant carrying the game? being "player of the week", and making the key 3 pointer under heavy pressure seconds before?

how about someone starting a Durant appreciation thread before he's booted out in a few weeks?

in consideration of this "appreciation" thread, i'll add that i appreciate that Devin has been recently demonstrating the control and maturity it takes to win. The Suns started the season this way -- with Durant leading and Booker picking his spots with discretion and focusing on passing -- especially in crunch time.

that open 2 with the defense focusing on Durant is exactly what i'm looking for from him in those moments.

it's also significant that the games are starting much better. Why? Like i said 2 weeks ago, Booker needs 4 defensive players on the floor with him. The new starting line-ups shore up the defense and do not duplicate the offense. Booker and Durant bring enough offensive firepower.

Glad we're seeing pieces like this now as it echoes my sentiments since the Suns made the mistake of trading for KD. While we can argue whether that was worth a shot, it's irrelevant at this point given it hasn't worked out and the Suns have continuously failed to put a team around Booker that could compete regularly.

wow. i could have written that article (and have, over and over, despite much antagonistic trolling). It really belongs in the "Booker non-appreciation thread, where i'll break it down)

I really feel bad for him.

1st tier star, 2nd tier star... whatever... the guy spent his youth here, surrounded by guys who proved to be non-NBA players, coached by one interim coach after another, guys who never were a head coach anywhere else. Booker never complains, the national media constantly puts him up as a young star who might be on the move.

Finally, things start to improve, we draft some real talent. Impactful players start angling their way to the franchise, the only reason being that Devin Booker plays for the Suns, these players openly admit it. The franchise has their best stretch in over a decade, despite of Sarver's incompetence... and then Sarver sells the team... to an owner that (so far) has displayed far greater ambition... ambition only matched by foolishness.

Booker wants to be, and should be, a lifetime Sun, but the horrible mistakes of the last couple years will probably force this incompetent regime to trade him sometime soon, and that is a true shame.

I wish the Suns could have bottled this.

And never has demanded a coach be fired or hired. Hasn't called for a teammate to be sent packing or acquired. No ultimatums when that's become the norm for stars across the league.

100%.

honest question - if you're book what do you think about this whole new owner/gm/coach/completely different team situation? he's gotta know it will take a couple years at least for competitiveness to come back together

It is interesting. Depends on how driven he is. If he’s truly Kobe-like in his obsession to win he’d want out. Kobe threatened to leave the lakers if they didn’t reload like he wanted. We haven’t seen that from book. I think book has become more laidback than Kobe ever was. I think he’s kinda fine if he’s able to compete and put up stats and be considered one of, if not the best sun of all time. His stats will certainly reflect that if he’s here his entire career. His stats will dwarf anyone else’s.

Thank you Kevin Durant!
