Everyone is getting way too high right now imo. This happens regularly here and then we get destroyed and look like total @$$ next week. Hopefully I’m wrong.
They absolutely are. But there's little enough hope that even false hope must be grasped. Can't blame folks for it.

Yup he was fantastic, give him the job!
At least we know that there is a CB(#2) opening. Hoping that Williams will be able to play, soon. Also, thought Hamilton played well and expect him to make the team. But since Clark is a rookie, I'm hoping that with time that he will be special, or at least as good as Marco Wilson.

There are so many different threads so I might have missed it, but I'm looking for the # of offensive, defensive and ST snaps. Or do they just do that for the RS games?

Someone mentioned Kareem Hunt. He was signed by New Orleans I think.

I didn’t want to say anything and spoil everyone’s high.

Make no mistake, I'm not changing my record predictions one bit. It's going to be a long season, but I'll enjoy a meaningless victory in a game we easily could have been blown out of because half of our wins might be in the preseason.

The number of years we went 3-1 or 4-0 in the preseason only to be 4-12 or 5-11 in the regular season is astounding. At this point, I'm still hoping this year is as good as those years.

Typically bad preseason = a good season. Good preseason = bad season.

Plus it's always good to beat the guy Michael couldn't hire.

Poverty fan mindset. These scraps taste good may I have some more?

Nice come back win! I feel much better already about the O-line. Paris Johnson and Will Hernandez were solid. Josh Jones was solid when he was in as well at RT. Plus having Humphries and Beachum at LT give us four good tackles.

I think both Froholdt and Gaines played decent at center. Wilkinson was also decent at LG.

Clayton Tune looked much better in the second half. I’m looking forward to seeing him over the next two games.

You could tell the coaching for the defense was much improved. That alone gives me hope that we have a chance to be competitive. Rookie DL Dante Stills looks promising. I expect him to make the team from what I’m seeing. Zaven Collins looks better playing outside being turned loose to rush the passer.
What I don't understand is why Jones is the backup RT and Beachum the backup LT not the other way around. I recall Jones played decent as an LT last season during Humphries' injury, and Beachum played RT his entire time with Cardinals.

Agree, but I don’t think many on this board are excited because they think this team is going to have a dramatic overnight W/L reversal. The excitement is because for the first time in 20+ years, they have made a dramatic shift in philosophy when they hired MO. Prior to that, it really didn‘t matter who the head coach was because our FO couldn’t sustain any success. And for the most part, the false excitement was when we had trash HC’s like Joe Bugel, Dave McGinnis, Steve Wilks, and Kliff Kingsbury.

I love the new attitude and professionalism.

I think we are on the road to something big but still square one of a total rebuild.

With that...I still want the top 2 picks in the NFL draft. Mediocrity is our biggest enemy at this point.

Beachum made his mark as a swing tackle... Jones had problems on the right...makes sense to get him more snaps there if you plan to keep him on as a swing tackle. Haing 2 backup OT's that can play either side is a boon. it also allows us to let Beachum retire if we can build some confidence in Jones holding down the job.
