I'm good with him. His defense is a big part of why the eagles went from 4-11 in 2020 to 14-3 and a trip to the super bowl in two years. Defense was nails for the first two games of the playoffs and wasn't nearly as bad in the super bowl as people are acting. When the offense and special teams gifts the opponent 7 points each it's hard to look good against a hall of fame QB and coach. Would be fine with Kafka or Anuromo too but all three are unproven and shouldn't be picked or not picked based on one game anyway.

That defense is pretty stacked.

Gannon would clearly be Ossenfort's hire. They are friends and he hasn't interviewed yet but is apparently already the how favorite, and Mike hasn't even met him.

So Gannon is clearly Monti's guy.
So who prevails if Bidwill wants one guy and Ossenfort wants another? Guess the guy who signs the checks, right? Then comes the rift between owner and GM or the GM and coach. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Getting schooled by Reid isn’t the best look timing-wise for Gannon. It’s not a job killer, but he’s going to have to answer related questions. Certainly you take a wider view of his body of work, but that game was a speed bump.

Ultimately the owner is always making these decisions but I think Mike leans towars listening to his GM.

Did he get schooled? 7 of the points were a scoop and score. A further 7 were a 10 yard field on a huge punt return allowed by ST's. Who's stopping Reid/Mahomes on a 10 yard field?

The Chief scored TDs on every one of their second half drives.

Yeah the Chiefs are really good. It's the superbowl.

He held the Chiefs to 7 offensive points in the first half but people want to focus on a 2nd half where the Chiefs scored 3 TD's and one of them was a 10 yard field.

Conceivably without the fumble and the punt return the Chiefs score 24, lose by 11 and everyone is saying Gannon held the Chiefs offense.
