Nothing to defend. Simply the truth.
There’s no legitimate reason as to why our first draft pick should be a *healthy* inactive. He doesn’t have to look like Kelce day 1, but at least give him a few snaps. It’s not like we’re a great team to be doing crap like this either.

Again, stop defending everything Keim does.

"Whatever happens today, win or lose, what happens in game 1 means nothing." Your words, not mine.

Yeah it means nothing.

Teams that lost week 1 last year and made the playoffs

Cowboys
Titans
Bills
Packers
Patriots

If we win today we aren't playoff bound. If we lose we aren't doomed. It's a long season.

You are clueless, or just bad at writing. If you win, you are 1-0. If you lose, you are 0-1. How many teams make or miss the playoffs by 1 game? A lot. So winning or losing a game means a lot.

I get what you're trying (failing) to say, that the season won't be over and won't be won in week 1. Every game in a 17-game season is important, however, the opposite of "nothing."

We have multiple injuries. They likely want to go heavy depth in those areas because they aren't sure who might perform when stepping up.

Its 1 ******** game. If he's still a scratch by week 4/5 you might have a point but I doubt it.

We've seen other teams come in with backups, journeymen, guys off the street out of retirement and embarrass the Cardinals. It's the Card's turn to suck it up and win this game!
It's the Cards though. It only goes one way with this franchise. Fan since 88.

It's not just the amount of injuries. It's the importance of the players who are injured. The same was true last year, which is why the total games missed stat is deceiving. Who cares if Tanner Vallejo and Joe Walker are healthy all season if Watt can't play?
