Give me Quinnen over Kyler Murray!

That's what at least half the board thought at this time last year...

You can fly your weapon in checked in luggage. I do it all the time. But you have to declare it. If he elected not to, he asked for trouble. I inadvertently flew 2 Pmags loaded up with 5.56 from phx to SF last year in my checked luggage. It wasn’t caught by TSA. I was in a conference room for a major player in the IT world preparing to teach a class when I discovered them. I ended up giving them to a local LEO buddy before I tried to get back on the flight back to phx, because I knew I’d get hammered there (commiefornia). Accidents do happen, especially on last min trips. Guess we’ll see how this plays out.

No need for this.

He had to be ignorant of the law. Only way this makes sense.

There is absolutely no way in today’s day and age that somebody is ignorant enough to not know that you can’t bring weapons aboard an airplane… Way to make excuses for a guy LOL…

That’s not even mentioning the thousand different signs everywhere in an airport that tell you weapons are prohibited… And the constant looping announcement in every airport that I’ve ever been in that tells you weapons are prohibited... lol

Arrest aside, this is why I don’t want Derrick Brown at #8. Williams was hyped as best DL to come along in years and he was a major disappointment as a rookie. I don’t see Brown as anything close to a franchise player and kind of underwhelmed at Combine.

I don't want any DT at 8. The position is not nearly impactful enough, unless you are drafting someone that gets 15-20 sacks as a DT against major college competition.

This is funny. There are only 24 players in all of college football since 2005 who have had 15+ sacks in a season and none are DTs. So, essentially your assertion is never draft a DT in the top 10.

Statement from Quinnen Williams's attorney, Alex Spiro:

Mr. Williams respects and follows the law. There was allegedly a technical issue with the manner in which the lawfully owned firearm was stored - and we expect the matter to be resolved shortly.

Not a big deal. People going overboard as usual. Can’t imagine if this was Kyler Murray. People would prob say he should get cut RIGHT NOW, bad leader, not ready for prime time, embarrassment for the franchise, should’ve stuck with Rosen, blah blah blah...remember some were already saying this when His FATHER decided to move in with him. Now ain’t that some crock.

Yep - that is my assertion.

Tell me one that was worth a top 10 pick.

@Shane

I was referencing the need to re-introduce the Kyler Murray debate into the thread.

This seemed so stupid, so unbelievable that the only excuse is that he's an idiot.

Not intending to excuse the behavior.

theres been plenty of DTs worthy of top 10 picks. Are you just basing a DLs worth on sack total?

Suh has been double teamed and game planned for for years. That’s part of their effectiveness.

Eric Swann, Joe Greene, Cortez Kennedy just off the top of my head.

I am mostly basing their worth on sack total yes. Almost any semi athletic big fat guy can stuff the run, and you can get them for around the minimum. We proved it last season. I would be 100% fine keeping the same DT's we had last year.

I think you made the point. When. was the last time (year) one of those guys was drafted in the top 10?
