Escobar flies out to CF.

Abraham Almonte, just up from Reno
is pinch-hitting for the pitcher.

He's a switch-hitter.

The rookie with an infield line-out.

Extra innings.

The last D-backs hit was by Rojas
in the 4th. The 4th!

Clarke, demoted from starter to
reliever, is in to pitch the top of
the 10th.

And a single with one out.

Micro managing situations instead of going with the hot hand?
You know how critical I've been of Torey's managing style. But, in
this case, he went with the percentages against a home run hitter.

I can't fault him.

And we go to the bottom of the 10th.

We need our first hit since the 4th
by Rojas, and up comes Rojas.

That's what has bugged me about
the D-backs. So damn inconsistent.

Ahmed with a 1-out double and Avila (.205) comes up -- 0-for 3
including two double plays. And he grounds out weakly.

The hot Walker coming up with Ahmed on 3B and an intentional
walk. Dyson coming up with 2 outs. Walker takes 2B on fielder's
indifference.

A bunt by Dyson could win it. His next hit would be a career high.

Instead he grounds out into the shift with one fielder on the left
side and we go to the 11th with Clarke coming back out to pitch.

Don't any of the D-backs coaches want to win?

That's why they are a 500 club.

Pederson solo HR to lead off the 11th
and the Dodgers take a 4-3 lead.

A bunt by our leadoff hitter would have
won it in the 10th.

%*@!*%@

Bottom of the 11th coming up, down by
a run. Baez coming in to pitch. He has
never had a save.

Locastro leading off, with Marte and Escobar to follow.

It's now or never!

Locastro strikes out.

Marte flies out to LF.

Escobar has homered in every game in this series.

Groundout to 2B. 3 outta 4 'ain't' bad.

But it could have been a sweep.

Who was on deck as the game ended?

One of our two hottest hitters who
was on the bench all game, Wilmer
Flores.

So much for Torey's proclamation that
he would go with his best down the
stretch. 'Sad!

Ávila didn't do squat either and you have clutch C. Kelly just watching too. I hate watching Ávila, he has to be the most irritating player to watch.I'll go as far as saying I despise watching him. I hope he gets dumped at the end of the year
