Chuck's younger brother John ran a very successful, very aggressive 34 scheme in San Diego as well and should be considered as well

Pagano, his defenses in Baltimore were great. And I believe he did a better job in Indy than given credit for.

Yup I said this before Arizona even hired a HC. John Pagano is a really brilliant guy and came with many exotic blitzes and such as well. All the players even the guys on the offensive end like Rivers were really close with him and loved him.

Chargers fans hated losing him.

They said they would be hiring people with no connection to Kliff. They would hire them simply because of their experience and past success.

Which is fine as Kliff said he is working with Keim on the coaching candidates as Keim has many relationships in the NFL. Nothing wrong with that.

Chuck Pagano NFL DC 1 yr - Ravens

Based on these facts and Pagano’s limited DC experience, I’d lean toward Nolan first, then Capers, and lastly Pagano.

Mike Nolan has more experience then Pagano, but his overall performance and the fact he is usually run out of town in 2 years (SEVEN DC jobs) should tell you all you need to know...that is why he is an LB coach now and was in his last job.
