Something to consider...

If Bowles joins BA in Tampa, the DC pool is very shallow. Kris Richard is the next high profile candidate that comes to mind but after that...who can we get to lead the defense if we don't hire a defensive minded HC (not my preference).

Who else is out there?

OC is a bit more wide open:

Adam Gase - long shot (will most likely be a HC)
DeFelippo (time for redemption?)
Zac Taylor
KK - long shot
Stefanski (if not hired by Vikings but I think he will be)
Jim Bob Cooter
Steve Sarkisian
Freddie Kitchens (if Cleveland hires McCarthy or another offensive minded HC)

Dallas has no obligation to let Kris Richard take a DC job

Not likely to block him from a career advancement...DC would be a promotion.

Their current DC is Rod Marinelli, who is 69 years old. If they promoted Richard to DC...I would take Marinelli as DC in a second (Wade Philips scenario).

that only works for HC moves

teams have become more and more likely to retain asst coaches under contract rather than let them walk .. even for promotions

I highly doubt Zac Taylor leaves Rams for anything other than HC. Why would he? I'd love to have him here in any capacity though.

Can we end and Defilipo talk lol he sucks
And yet half the board or more was claiming he was the Cards savior based off 1 year lol

Just like Gase & others it’s just the flavor of the day then they crave another the next week.

We need to quit trying to hire the “who’s hot” coach & hire the “right coach”.

He won’t get to call plays as long as Sean McVay is there.
