It's been largely believed that the Las Vegas Raiders are focused on hiring an offensive minded head coach. The Raiders are expected to meet with Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady for a second interview this week. Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak, who advanced to Super Bowl LX, also remains in strong contention.
If a wild card emerges in the Raiders' search, it may be Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula. California Post columnist and long-time Raiders beat writer Vincent Bonsignore is reporting that Shula remains in the mix. Taking it a step further, Bonsignore is even reporting that Rams QB coach Dave Ragone would be his OC.
Shula is the grandson of legendary NFL coach Don Shula. He's been coaching with the Rams under Sean McVay since 2017. Shula worked his way up from assistant linebackers coach to defensive coordinator. His rise up the coaching ranks has been impressive.
The Rams were defeated by the Seahawks in Sunday's NFC Championship Game. That means there's nothing preventing the Raiders from meeting with Shula in person this week. On the topic of Ragone, he has previous OC experience with the Atlanta Falcons (2021-23) under Arthur Smith. The Raiders have to decide how they feel about the Shula-Ragone pairing and if they're capable of developing expected No. 1 overall quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Regarding @Raiders head coach search: @Rams DC Chris Shula is in the mix. A name to keep an eye on as his potential OC is @Rams QB coach and former @Falcons OC Dave Ragone.
