Stidham's gaudy completion percentage is the result of Auburn's preference for bubble screens and short crossing routes. It's dink, dink, dink and then when the defense cheats up they go over the top.

Additionally, when the defenses took away Kerryon Johnson, Stidham could not move the team through the air.

Northwestern's Clayton Thorson is the guy I like. He tore his ACL in the Wildcat's bowl game. He was reportedly on the fence about declaring and that sent him back to school.

This is the definition of a pointless thread. #1, there's no IF--we won't be drafting a QB in the first round this year. That leads into #2: Listing top QBs in ANY draft is pointless. Keim doesn't have the stones to go big or go home on drafting a QB, and he doesn't have the stones to draft one in the 1st round period. Apparently goes against his philosophy.

This is the year to get a QB. Unless we go 0-16 it will be years if not decades before there is a draft this good in QB's. This is the best one since 1983. Even Mason Rudolph will be a quality starter and he's the 6th ranked QB in this draft.

This list is leaving off Shea Patterson who would be the consensus best QB in next year draft. He is fighting an eligibility battle due to transfer. If he plays this year and then declares he will be at the top with Stidham.

Yep! But trading up isn’t worth the gamble...chances imo are better than 50% that Keim & Wilks get fired in 3-4 years because of mediocre or even bad teams! The best chance to save their jobs is a stud franchise QB.

Lol. There is no guarantee at all that says we won't go for a QB in the first. That's just being silly.

They can make it faster than 3/4 years by trading away all of their draft picks for a guy that immediately busts.

IF he busts that’s the key word!

Damned if you do damned if you don’t! Exactly why he needs to roll the dice imo. This team is sinking quickly in talent & the record will likely as well

If the QB hits big the 2 likely have job security for quite awhile.

What if he doesn't outright bust but just isn't good enough to make up for throwing to Brice Butler and JJ Nelson as his primary targets?

My primary concern here is that everyone thinks we're suddenly going to not only be drafting Tom Brady, but Bill Belichick as well. Yes, there are some good QBs that throw their teammates open and raise the quality of the team, but there's still Matthew Stafford out there, balling out, but with no one to help him.

We're arguing about the 2019 draft?

Did I sleep through the 2018 draft? What I miss?

You missed us failing to address the most important position in the history of football again this week :)
We can get one next year...the year after...the year after that etc. Like a broken freaking record lol

This is the draft to do it imo. If another team is willing to swing a reasonable deal.
