Why does everyone assume the Cards will lose a couple more games?

Seriously, the talking heads on TV or even on the radio all seem to take it as fact of the Cardinals will lose a couple of more games this season. Why?

We won it of our first 10 games. Why would people assume we will lose two of the last six?

There's a difference between being the favorite to win the rest of your games, which we are, and running the table the rest of the way. The team has proven it can lay an egg every once in a while, even in victory (see turnover margin).
I think we'll lose 2-3 more games this year.

We have some hard games still I can't see losing 3 unless god for bid C.P. goes down. I won't be surprised if we won them all or dropped no more than 2.

this. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we only drop 2 more games this year. Going 4-2 against a tough schedule down the stretch is nothing to sneeze at, nor is going 12-4.

Maybe because we have only beaten one team with a winning record. Originally our last 5 games looked a lot tougher. But now who knows? Now they aren't playing so good. We may win out, I hope so, but it is more likely we drop one or two.

Minn and gb are the only tough games. I could see us losing one but not both.

I see your point but this is the NFL, anything can happen. I firmly believe we should have beat the Rams and Stealers too, but we didn't. It is just very difficult to win every game. Too many variables.

Cold games on the east coast with a 1:00 P.M. Eastern start is always interesting

The Seattle game may mean nothing to us and the Playoffs for them. G.B. IMO is not a given. Plus you have the any day game. Hell we could lose up to 3.

Do you expect the Cards to go 19-0 every year?
No. And everyone saying that 'any given Sunday' we can lose. Fine. We already lost 2 of those this year. How good do you think we are and how many of those games is a good team suposed to lose each season?

We have more than filled our quota.

I think our penchant for turning the ball over is what keeps a lot of us from seeing this team rip off 6 straight wins or even 5 of 6. 3 more road games, 3 more home games all against playoff contenders is a tough stretch no matter what the team.

Just how many 12 and 4 seasons have we had? We could win out. We could drop some. 3 Road games 3 home games agents good teams. Why is it a lock for you.

Same thing I said about seattle in another thread. What they did last year and the year before doesnt help them at all this year.

I am just looking at this team this year and dont see them losing half their remaining games.....and after they beat the niners today I dont see them losing 3 of their last 5.

The team is too good and the coaches are too good.

Well, after today they will have won five straight. And since there's only five games left to go and they will have proven they can win five straight......

Agree with you, Hollywood.

I think this team is "special", actually. I'm full on koolaid here, but I think those early losses helped us, especially the one against the Rams, who have proven to be total pretenders and as inept as every other year.

I don't know how many of you have watched the NFL DVD's of the SB winners, they have a boxed set of every one, and they all say, after the fact, that there was a point in the season where they overcame adversity and knew, beyond a doubt, they were good enough to win it all--often those realizations came in a loss during the season, sometimes it was beating an adversary they hadn't been able to overcome in the past. We've done both. I honestly believe that's where we're at. I think we'll look back and look at our losses, as well as our wins against Seattle and Cinci, and we'll say that's when it changed, when they knew.

Our team seems very confident, but often when you talk a lot it's due to a lack of confidence, and I remember BA saying last year and the year before that they were still learning how to expect to win. He wasn't talking about just winning, he was talking about the attitude of expecting it, every week, every game. Fitz took issue with that (for him), but I think BA has been building that confidence since he got here, and I also further believe that's part of why he's so vocal and boisterous about this team. We're always so worried about the big-bad Rams and the 49ers and Seattle and all BA does is disparage them and say we're better. That's for the team, not for us, he only says it in the media to show that you either believe or you don't, say it or sit down.

We're built really well, we can score in chunks offensively through the air, and we have some good corners to stop the pass. Enjoy the ride folks, it's going to be a great rest of the regular season and post-season. :)

Performances like today so far is why people think we could lose another 2 games. This team is very good, but it's still yet to be seen if it's GREAT.

Ide say its quite clear they aren't great.. Great teams don't do this to teams decimated like the 49ers… JMO
