Not bad. I would have a very hard time passing on Malcom Brown, DT in R1. Also, not a fan of a C with the R3 pick. Think I would have rather taken Golson, CB, from Miss.

I just didn't want Seattle taking the best center in the draft other than Erving (whom I was very tempted to take at #24, even over Ray)---the other centers aren't nearly as good, imo.

That said---I love Golson too, and wanted to take him.

Taking o-linemen is not sexy at all, is it? But, hey, winning is---and I think Gallik solves the center spot for years to come.

Mitch lots of good work with reasonable picks. Luv the name tie ins with each team! Lol

Luv the Ray & Gallik picks but I'm not high on Ajayi. To me he runs stiff & doesn't appear that elusive & doesn't really look explosive in & out cuts. I prefer Coleman or Johnson over him, but is that too high? I was right about Trent Richardson on those same issues a few years back lol :D

Btw are the Falcs going to the wishbone after taking Gurley & Yeldon?

I don't see Ray falling, unless teams take him off their board due to the foot surgery thing (conflicting info on that currently).. but it is sounding like some are expecting Gregory to fall due to his weight and failed drug test.

Apparently Jay Ajayi has a knee issue that is causing teams to take him off their boards.

Would love to have DE Shane Ray and RB Jay Ajayl. That would make my day even with the "sneak in" of your New England player (C Andy Gallick Boston College). After all what is a Cardinal draft without Mitch giving us one of his homers. :D

Seriously, nice work on all the picks. I agree that if AP is traded it will be to Dallas. Additionally, I would take CB John Shaw USC with the Cards pick in the third round. I think he is still on the board.

I was thinking that Ajayi was tougher inside the tackles, which is why he might be higher on the Cardinals board.

I think you and I are on the same page because after Gurley and Gordon, I like Abdullah, Coleman and Yeldon the best.

Thanks for pointing out my Falcons mistake---what happened was I had the Falcons taking Shane Ray and then on ESPN Insiders they were talking about Ray's toe injury and him having to have surgery, so I thought this is our chance to pick him. I had us taking Gurley, so I just flipped them and then in thinking that Quinn saw what Marshawn Lynch did for the Seahawks' success and how popular a pick it would be the Atlanta---would sell the games out, imo, and lol they wouldn't have to pump in artificial crowd noise!

Mitch, you have DGB listed twice.

With that long a name, i figured he deserved to be in there twice. Thanks, man, I will fix it.

This is the first time I have ever done a 3 round mock and I have to say---it is a lot of work studying team needs with a list of available players and then checking what players the teams have already taken---and then when you make one change it can lead to omissions and redundancies as you guys have pointed out.

Mitch, I love the Ray pick, IF he is healthy. And while I'm not sure of anything when it comes to this Draft, my guess is that the Cardinals will go pass rusher in the first round, if one of the Big Five (Fowler, Beasley, Dupree, Gregory, Ray) is available. Of course, Gregory might be considered too hot for Arizona.

You know I like the Ray pick.

One thing all these mocks have wrong, unless he's overruled, Jax is not taking Dante Fowler at 3. It's likely either going to be Williams, Cooper, or a trade. Now, forces above him may dictate taking the local Florida player but Fowler would not be the unanimous pick in their draft room.

Interesting. Fowler was just on ESPN's Insider set and the way he talked about his visit with Jags he seemed 100% certain from what he was told that he is their pick. Plus---the Jags have such little edge rushing talent on their roster for a pressure based defense, and as we know the edge talent drops off significantly after the first 5-6 players.

Now---if Leonard Williams falls to #3---he would be hard for any team to pass up. And Cooper is dynamic. Should be interesting. If Fowler does slide a little maybe that increases the Cardinals' chance of being in a position to draft one of the top edge rushers.

I agree, Williams would be the no-brainer pick. The interesting thing is if Mariota is there. I would think Cleveland, SD, and Philly would all come calling. Getting Cleveland's two picks at 12 and 19 could give them Gurley and Beasley. I would do that over taking Fowler. It will be interesting.

I think Beasley is a top 8 pick, guaranteed. Actually now that Ray might be sliding down a little, they could take Gurley and Ray at 12 & 19.

I think Dupree is squarely in the top 13---and now that Ray might be sliding a little, Dupree could go at #5 (WASH), #6 (NYJ), #7 (CHI), #8 (ATL), #9 (NYG).

And yet he's less productive. Sometime tells me the rise of Dupree is gonna spell disaster for some team. I like all the top edge rushers including Harold & Kikaha more than him.

but dupree had like more then 70 tackles, his primary role was just not attacking the qb..a guy who has talent and could fit well with arizona defense is frank clark,a 3th round pick

If that is the way it ends up for the Cardinals, I will happily take it.
