I have a feeling we will be targeting a couple of young interior lineman, this draft is one of the better G/C drafts in a number of years.

Draft a centre / guard like Philip Bailey (Baylor) for example, and Cards are set for years with a cheaper, talented centre / guar. And they have Bartholomew (sp) from the PS.

This means Snyder is RG not OT. That's good news.

Pretty much said when he signed that he would likely be playing at OG. Move is still surprise. Not like Hadnot is all that expensive and we need depth.

Not quite enough, but we need some small change for Leach, Feeley (?), punter.

Somers, Urban, and Jurecki are all convinced Feeley is coming back.

As for Hadnot, I liked him for depth and feel this is a cap casualty more than anything.

From the looks of it, the Cards are preparing to draft at least two linemen this season.

However also with the release of WR Stucky (estimated $2.5 million savings) we should have at least $4 million available. IMO I think the Cards will be re-signing some of their players this week unless there is a free agent that they like.

Agree. A week where they address their own FA, with the possibility of a few vists from outside.

Was very unwhelmed by Hadnot's play last year. Hopefully Snyder is an upgrade. Tired of watching Reggie Wells type guards get blown into the backfield

Okay, but why in the world is Joey Porter still on the roster?

Bridges might breathe a bit easier. With Snyder at starting RG, it once again makes him our #1 candidate for swingman.

Also - don't think of it as ridding ourselves of a guard but losing a #3 backup center.

I agree, but some people on here seem to think Snyder would be our starting OT.

I wonder if Hadnot got in the coaches dog house. This signing and release doesn't seem to have much reasoning.

IN Bridges they have a tackle / guard backup and with Bartolomew from the PS we have a centre / guard backup; then there's the draft.

With Hadnot being released everything changes. Looks like they intend to use Snyder at Guard after all and once again we are short one Offensive Tackle.

Maybe the Cards do plan on playing D.J. Young. At this point who knows.

I guess i picked this one. Like I said in other posts once we signed Synder Hadnot was gone. Too many OG's on the roster to keep.

Cards are still talking to Demetrius Bell per Jurecki on Twitter.

Plus Jurecki is pretty confident that Leach and Feeley will be brought back. So this and the Stuckey cut could just be a precursor for guys like Feeley, Leach and maybe Bell brought into the fold. Or any combination there of, along with two guys they would like to return in Hagans and Holliday.

Thanks, Joe. Could be that what Winston got in KC as an already established and very good T will help Bell realize that he needs to play for about half of what Winston got. Ramifications of a tight cap as well.

Per Juecki - Stuckey, Hadnot = $3.75M CAP saving

But Bell is a LT and they make more $$ than RT's
