How did Pitts do in the playoffs last year?

Yes but lets look at the last 3 years. Odds on they might be in the Superbowl this year again...so i would take Steelers tradition and the way they handle things over ours every day of the week and TWICE on Sunday!

not even close anti-homer!

Wrong again, like you have been about almost everything this season.

This team is BAD. Real bad. Josh McCown would throw for 200 yards to Nate Poole against this sad sack bunch and beat them 34-9.

This is a disaster. There is no excuse for the repeated defensive letdowns, horrible clock management and overall inability to fix obvious problems. The only thing this team is consistent in is making the same mistakes week in and week out.

Seattle is NOT EVEN REMOTELY GOOD! They had the 30th ranked OFF coming in and we made them look like the Colts. DOES our coaching staff even watch tape????

I'm not in the fire Whisenhunt camp either, but he screwed up bad this offseason. That being said, I think Pittsburgh's future under Tomlin (next 3-4 years) looks a lot brighter than Arizona's future under Whisenhunt.

Look athe last 3 years :confused::confused:. The Card have aSB appearance 2 division titles and another playoff win. Pitts got algift SB and missed the playoffs. Granted their history id better but I don't see how anyone can complain about the Cards performance. I guess Mack Brown should be let go in Texas, they stink this year.

To be honest, I created this post when we passed on 1st down and Anderson threw a pick. I was screaming at the TV, demanding to know why we're passing AGAIN on a first down, and then he threw a pick. This thread was a knee-jerk emotion dump. I clearly don't want to fire Whisenhunt on the spot. He gets the screw-up year. Next year, he'd better not be this stupid of a coach, or else I really will be ready to fire him.

And all you Whiz supporters. How come Carrol could pump up his team in a HUGE GAME on the road and run up 500 yards of offense....Yet Our coach couldn't even get plays off on time, Same defensive mental errors. It is a joke. Whiz is not a good coach. Hell even with Warner and his GREATNESS we were getting blown out and we won a weak division with a 9-7 record!!!!!!! That right there tells u something....The rest of the division sucked and we could barely win it with a HOF QB...Now look when Warner leaves.... We were a house of Cards...a little breeze would crumble us.

It is how we have looked.....Think about it....Warner barely and I mean barely covered our faults...9-7 and 10-6 when we have had easy schedules and division was horrible. We were blown out by most of the good teams....And SF owned us. Whiz has let this fall apart. And you watch ...Fitz is gone....and then what???? Whiz has let this go so far bad...that we wont get out for a while.

anybody who thinks whiz should be fired is crazy, do i like some of the decisions he made ? no especially the leinert bungle,

but you have no idea how much leverage taking the cards to the superbowl and two division titles buys you.

ownership is gonna to use a famous qoute from matty "ride or die" with whiz for many years so get used to it

there are many who believe warner and haley got us to the promised land but whiz was still the captain of the ship and that means a lot in this league

we are going to go through a complete retooling now with a goal of getting back to the superbowl by the third year of whiz extension
if by then we are not on top of the nfc west again and retooled for a long run whiz will be fired
but you all got three more years of this so be prepared

You put the Cards QB sitaution on any other team in the NFL and they'd be in the same boat. Why doesn't the FO get the blame for telling Whiz he has all the QB's he needs and not letting him sign a Bulger when it was supposedly requested. In fact, the FO could have said no to cutting Leinart. Doesn't Graves has the final say in all football decisiosns?

The bashing is coming from what we look like...we dont do anything right on the field and never adjust. We constantly make bad QB's look good....Backup Rb's breaking records.....We never ADJUST on defense...Whiz 's play calling is terrible. Whatever...it doesn't matter....But I promise you this!!!! WE WILL NEVER MAKE IT BACK TO THE PLAYOFFS WITH WHIZ AGAIN...Unless we get Vick. But that wont happen....ANd Fitz will leave after next year too...So under Whiz...we could lose Boldin and FItz under his tenor.....Great coach!

Yep. Anyone who think this is a good idea is short sighted and does not understand how football works administratively. You fire Whis, you give this team NO SHOT at anything next season. The intelligent move is to give Whis and Co the opportunity to make changes in the coaching staff and player personnel (i.e. QB). This team is only a couple of moves away from being competitive again. Dont cut your nose to save your face

Yes, we'll be sticking with him for the time being, and I'm absolutely good with that decision. What I'm not good with is the inexcusable, idiotic decisions and mistakes Whis continues to make. The same stuff, over and over again, like he's doing the same thing and expecting different results. That's what is truly troubling to me.

This isn't college where your best players use up their eligibility. Mack has an excuse all his talent is in the NFL. Whiz doesn't. Fall off OK, but to go from NFC West Champs to NFC West Chumps in one season is inexcusable.

duckjake... the 2003 team couldn't have beaten the defending super bowl champions... routing them in fact. that alone makes this team better.

2003 team never had a 14 point lead on the road with 2 minutes left in the game... they were always down y 14 with 2 minutes left in the first quarter!

this team sucks ass this year, but they're nowhere near the Mackage of 2003.

they just have NO QB. Not even a bad QB. They've probably got the two worst QBs in football and with that, you're never gonna win games.

I admit I was pissed at whiz and calling him to be fired during the game, but thinking about it he got warner for us and got us to a sb so I couldn't fire him. But man it's looking pretty bad cutting Leinart now lol. ugh

Sorry that doesn't hold any water with me. Hapless teams upset top teams all the time in the NFL. The 2003 team beat the Packers who made the playoffs and knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs.

This years team is far worse because they have 3 times the talent the 2003 team had and will likely finish with the same record and probably match their dal in points allowed and points scored.

NOt when you have the built in advantage of being at Texas. You can't tell me their talent isn't better than Mizzou, OK St, and everyone else in the Big 12 other than Oklahoma. I'm just saying teams have bad years. Once it becomes a trend, then I'd look at replacing Whiz.
