Q falls down at first contact all the time. Yes, the one or two long runs-after-the-catch that he does during each season are breathtaking, but he has to do that because he can't get separation from cornerbacks or outrun safeties. And it kills his body.
DCR is exactly right that he would definitely miss fewer games, but he wouldn't be the player that we all love. But the difference between the first down receptions between He-Man Anquan Boldin and Dive-Monkey Larry Fitzgerald is 2%. 2 extra first downs per season, basically.
The RAC yards are impressive, but WRs are paid to move the chains, score TDs, and get first downs. I would rather have the guy who is going to be able to do that for 15 or 16 games a season for 8 or 10 more years, than the guy who will do it for 10 or 12 games a season for 5 more years.
The arguement in favor of Anquan Boldin is wholly qualitative, but I don't think his intangibles make up for his injury risk and the problem that he only excels in production in a handful of games per season. Larry Fitzgerald will be paid more because he deserves to be.
Anquan Boldin is 28 years old, has had two serious knee surgeries, and broken his hip and separated muscle tissue from his hip. He's a running back playing WR. We all love to watch him play, but running backs have short careers. I don't think that Anquan Boldin has more than 5 years left in his body if he continues his current style of play.
